Background: Temporomandibular disorders (TMDs) comprise an extensive spectrum of conditions that originate from diverse complex components of the temporomandibular joint. It is generally acknowledged that the biopsychosocial model is the preeminent framework for understanding the aetiology of TMDs. Anxiety, depression, and tension are among the psychological disorders that are commonly observed in dental students.

The post-blast trace analysis of explosives is inherently complex, requiring the separation and identification of multiple unknown compounds within contaminated matrices. The study explores modified methods for the extraction, analysis, and detection of post-explosion residues, of the three main organic explosives groups, focusing on key explosives such as NC (Nitrocellulose), NG (Nitroglycerin), Tetryl, TNT, RDX, PETN, as well as sheet and plastic explosives. A comprehensive protocol was developed, involving sample extraction, filtration, and clean-up processes, followed by analysis using a range of analytical techniques.

Background: Despite its importance, Mental health literacy (MHL) among nursing and other health profession students often remains inadequate, potentially impacting their future roles as healthcare providers. This inadequacy can lead to delayed or inappropriate care for individuals with mental health concerns, perpetuating adverse outcomes and increasing the burden on healthcare systems.
Aim: To evaluate a digital-based intervention designed to enhance the warning signs of mental health literacy among health profession students.

Objective: To assess the biomechanical performance of cantilevered 2-unit implant-supported prostheses with zirconia and polyetherketoneketone (PEKK) under 3 loading conditions.
Method: A cone beam computer tomography (CBCT) scan of an edentulous mandible was segmented using Mimics software and refined in 3-Matic software to create trabecular and cortical bone structures. Implant CAD files were integrated using SolidWorks software, generating 4 models with varying implant positions: M1 (first premolar implant supporting a second premolar), M2 (second premolar implant supporting a first premolar), M3 (second premolar implant supporting a first molar), and M4 (first molar implant supporting a second premolar).

Herein, novel polymer composite is fabricated by hybridizing poly (acrylic acid-co-methyl methacrylate) filaments with carboxymethyl cellulose, which efficiently reorients and strictly ties the fibrous chains to form polymeric units of plate-like morphology. This innovative hybrid polymer composite is analyzed using XRD, FT-IR, swelling and contact angle studies, DLS, AFM, and SEM. Removal efficiency of such polymer composite is scrutinized in colored wastewater treatment.

This study identifies a critical knowledge gap, revealing how the deterioration of roads, compounded by extensive usage and additional factors, poses significant risks to the road networks' functionality. Without a robust fund allocation and prioritization strategy, the extent of this risk may be overlooked, adversely affecting the performance of essential infrastructure elements. Our research introduces an integrated decision-making model for existing road infrastructures to address this gap.

Although survival rates have been improved in recent years, the prognosis of many cancer types remains inadequate, mostly owing to treatment resistance. Moreover, there is a continued need for exploring novel and reliable tumor markers to achieve accurate diagnosis. Understanding the molecular complexity of cancer allows for the development of more effective and personalized treatments and facilitates the discovery of biomarkers that surpass traditional ones and assist in cancer diagnosis and monitoring disease progression and response to treatment.

Purpose: This study compares the effect of conventional cigarette smoke versus heated tobacco on the discoloration, surface roughness, and bacterial colonization of different oral prosthesis materials.
Materials And Methods: A total of one hundred and twenty disc-shaped samples made of four different denture base materials were prepared to represent different denture bases to assess the surface roughness and biofilm formation; group (CA): conventional heat-cured acrylic resin (Acrostone, Egypt), group (FA): flexible acrylic resin (Valplast International Corp, USA), group (TA): heat-cured acrylic resin reinforced with titanium nanoparticles (TA nanoparticles, Nanogate, Egypt), and group (PA): 3D printed acrylic resin (Nexdent, The Netherlands). Another sixty samples of artificial and 3D printed teeth were used to assess the color change: conventional ready-made acrylic resin teeth (Acrostone, Egypt) and 3D-printed acrylic resin teeth (Nexdent, The Netherlands).

Potentiometry, a well-established electrochemical technique, provides a powerful and versatile method for the sensitive and selective measurement of a variety of analytes by measuring the potential difference between two electrodes, allowing for a direct and rapid readout of ion concentrations. This makes it a valuable tool in a variety of applications including industry, agriculture, forensics, medical, environmental assessment, and pharmaceutical drug analysis, therefore it has received significant attention from the scientific community. Their broad implementation in sensing applications arises through their many benefits, including ease of design, fabrication, and modification; rapid response time; high selectivity; suitability for use with colored and/or turbid solutions; and potential for integration into embedded systems interfaces.

Effective construction waste (CW) management, mainly concrete, brick, and steel, is a critical challenge due to its significant environmental and economic impacts. This study addresses this challenge by proposing multiple linear regression models to predict waste generation in residential buildings within the Egyptian construction industry, considering the influence of factors such as building design and site management features. Using data from 25 case studies, the models demonstrated high predictive accuracy, with adjusted R² values of 0.

Doxorubicin (DOX)-induced chemobrain has been reported in several studies. Its main culprit is the induction of massive amounts of reactive oxygen species (ROS), hence triggering damage to brain tissues and thus leading to neuroinflammation. Biochanin A (BIO-A) is known to be an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and neuroprotective agent.

Intracellular proteins take part in almost every body function; thus, protein homeostasis is of utmost importance. The ubiquitin proteasome system (UPS) has a fundamental role in protein homeostasis. Its main role is to selectively eradicate impaired or misfolded proteins, thus halting any damage that could arise from the accumulation of these malfunctioning proteins.

Introduction: COVID-19 severity and high in-hospital mortality are often associated with severe hypoxemia, hyperlactatemia, and acidosis, yet the key players driving this association remain unclear. It is generally assumed that organ damage causes toxic acidosis, but since neutrophil numbers in severe COVID-19 can exceed 80% of the total circulating leukocytes, we asked if metabolic acidosis mediated by the glycolytic neutrophils is associated with lung damage and impaired oxygen delivery in critically ill patients.
Methods: Based on prospective mortality outcome, critically ill COVID-19 patients were divided into ICU- survivors and ICU-non-survivors.

This paper addresses the enhancement of formic acid electrooxidation (FAO) at Pt and Pt-NiOx nanoparticles based-catalysts assisted with urea derivatives as blending fuels. Blending formic acid with various ratios of urea derivatives showed noticeable enhancements of FAO as demonstrated by a favorable negative shift of its onset potential (E) and increase of its peak current density concurrently with suppression of the amount of CO poisoning reaction intermediate. Among all the used derivatives, phenyl urea (PU) showed superior enhancing effect towards the direct FAO with a minimal CO formation together with a favorable negative shift of E by 150 mV.

Thus, this study aimed to investigate the potential of Tadalafil (TAD)-loaded proniosomal gel to accelerate the healing process of skin wounds in DEX-challenged rabbits. Skin wounds were induced in 48 rabbits of 4 groups (n = 12 per group) and skin wounds were treated by sterile saline (control), TAD-loaded proniosomal gel topically on skin wound, DEX-injected rabbits, and DEX+TAD-loaded proniosomal gel for 4 weeks.
