Methods: In this cross-sectional study, the data on apparent chord mu, age, axial length, anterior chamber depth, anterior and posterior mean keratometry, mean total keratometry, white-to-white, central corneal thickness and lens thickness were collected for consecutive cataract patients. Correlation (Pearson) between chord mu and the other ocular parameters was calculated.

Purpose Of Review: Adolescents living with HIV show chronic inflammation, which in turn has been linked to mental health outcomes in the general population. The increased risk for mental health issues in adolescents with HIV may thus be driven by HIV-related inflammation. In this review, we discuss the associations between peripheral and central nervous system inflammation and mental health outcomes in adolescents with HIV.

A qualitative investigation of crisis cafés in England: their role, implementation, and accessibility.

Background: Crisis cafés (also known as crisis sanctuaries or havens) are community-based services which support people in mental health crises, aiming to provide an informal, non-clinical and accessible setting. This model is increasingly popular in the UK; however, we are aware of no peer-reviewed literature focused on this model. We aimed to investigate the aims of crisis cafés, how they operate in practice and the factors that affect access to these services and implementation of the intended model.

To report the outcomes of novel modified transepithelial phototherapeutic keratectomy (PTK) in treating band keratopathy (BK). A retrospective analysis was performed on patients who underwent PTK for BK at the Sussex Eye Laser Clinic, Nuffield Health, Brighton. Patients with BK obscuring the visual axis, affecting visual acuity, or causing discomfort were considered for PTK.

Objective: Shared decision making is important when decisions are preference sensitive, as in incurable cancer. A prerequisite for shared decision making is health literacy, which is essential to facilitate good understanding of an individual's current situation, the decision to be made, and the options available to them. This study sought to learn about the challenges for shared decision making faced by patients with incurable cancer and health literacy difficulties.
