Objective: To develop and test an Objective Structured Assessment of Technical Skills (OSATS) score for the internal version and total breech extraction of the second twin if in a non-engaged cephalic position.
Materials And Methods: This prospective interventional study took place in a tertiary obstetrics department in France. An objective scoring system was developed, and a standardized simulation scenario was set up.

Unicornuate uterus with rudimentary horn is a rare structural uterine anomaly resulting from incomplete Mullerian duct development and/or fusion. Pregnancy in rudimentary horn is an uncommon presentation of a Mullerian anomaly and may lead to substantial morbidity and mortality due to high risk of uterine rupture with intraabdominal hemorrhage. Medical and/or surgical management may be undertaken; however, currently, no treatment guidelines exist.

Acute appendicitis is the most common non-obstetric reason for exploratory laparotomy during pregnancy. This case report involves a primigravida patient who presented to the emergency department of the General Hospital of Trikala at 15 weeks of gestation due to diffuse abdominal pain, primarily in the epigastric region. She also reported watery bowel movements.

To explore the feasibility of using ultrasonic convex array probe compressing abdominal wall to increase success rate of external cephalic version (ECV) without anesthesia in full-term and near-term pregnancy. Totally 190 singleton and non-cephalic presentation pregnant women in 36-39 weeks of gestation performed ECV from April 2019 to August 2023 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University were analyzed. According to whether use the ultrasound probe compressing fetal breech or not, the pregnant women were divided into two groups: 81 cases in the probe-compressing group (including primipara 61 cases and multipara 20 cases) and 109 cases in the non-probe-compressing group(including primipara 72 cases and multipara 37 cases).

Objectives: The debate about the safest birth mode for breech presentation at term remains unresolved. The comparison of a vaginal breech birth (VBB) with an elective caesarean section (CS) regarding fetal outcomes favors the CS. However, the question of whether attempting a VBB is associated with poorer fetal outcomes is examined in this study.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence physician preference for type of hysterotomy incisions in gravidas with a singleton or twin pregnancy undergoing cesarean section under 28 weeks, and to assess factors that result in delivery complications, defined as either intraoperative dystocia or hysterotomy extension. We hypothesized that compared to those with non-cephalic presentations, gravidas with a presenting fetus in cephalic presentation would have higher rates of low-transverse cesarean section, and reduced rates of delivery complications with low-transverse hysterotomy.
Methods: This was a retrospective cohort chart analysis of 128 gravidas between 23 0/7 and 27 6/7 weeks undergoing cesarean section at a single academic institution between August 2010 and December 2022.

Objective: To analyze the success rate of external cephalic version (ECV) in pregnant women with a history of previous cesarean section, as well as to describe the rate of complications associated with the procedure.
Methods: A retrospective cohort study of women who were offered an ECV at "Virgen de la Arrixaca" Clinic University Hospital (Murcia, Spain) between January 2014 and December 2023. We collected data for previous cesarean delivery, obstetric history, fetal presentation, amniotic fluid volume, ECV success rate, complications related to ECV, mode of delivery, and neonatal outcomes.

Background: With the global increase of cesarean deliveries, breech presentation is the third indication for elective cesarean delivery. Implementation of external cephalic version (ECV), in which the position of the baby is manipulated externally to prevent breech presentation at term, remains suboptimal. Increasing knowledge for caretakers and patients is beneficial in the uptake of ECV implementation.

The vaginal birth of breech presentation is an option for pregnant women supported by current German and international guidelines when favorable conditions and appropriately trained personnel are available. According to midwifery laws in the D-A-CH region, midwives should be able to provide care for a vaginal breech birth in emergencies. Therefore, imparting skills for breech delivery is enshrined in the curriculum for midwifery students.

Developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) is a broad-spectrum disorder. Early diagnosis and treatment are important for improved prognosis and a lower risk of long-term complications. Selecting high-risk infants is important for the early diagnosis of DDH using ultrasonography; however, there are no standard international guidelines.

Background: DDH is 1 of the most important causes of childhood disability. A diagnosis of instability can be made in the neonatal period via the Ortolani and Barlow manoeuvres. However, clinical examination, although highly specific, has poor sensitivity as compared to ultrasound.

Hospitals without formal obstetric services place the emergency physician in the position of managing potentially complicated precipitous labor and delivery such as breech presentations. Breech deliveries pose an increased risk of significant morbidity and mortality to both the mother and fetus. Recent emphasis on cesarean section as the optimal delivery method for breech presentation has decreased education and comfort levels with breech vaginal deliveries.

Introduction: The global incidence of caesarean section (CS) deliveries has exceeded the recommended threshold set by the World Health Organization. This development is a matter of public health concern due to the cost involved and the potential health risk to the mother and the neonate. We sought to investigate the prevalence, indications, maternal and neonatal outcomes and determinants of CS in private health facilities in Ghana.

Hemolytic-uremic syndrome (HUS) is a rare thrombotic microangiopathy characterized by the triad of microangiopathic hemolytic anemia (MAHA), thrombocytopenia, and acute kidney injury. The disease is pathologically marked by fibrinoid necrosis within renal arterioles and glomerular capillaries. HUS can be categorized into typical variants, often linked to Shiga toxin-producing (STEC) infection, and atypical variants that stem from dysregulation in the alternative complement pathway.

Objective: In the present study, we sought to identify risk factors for umbilical cord prolapse (UCP) and adapt the multidisciplinary team (MDT) first-aid simulation training for UCP patients. We evaluated the usefulness of the MDT first-aid simulation by comparing delivery outcomes for UCP patients before and after its implementation.
Material And Methods: A retrospective review was conducted on 149 UCP cases (48 overt and 101 occult) and 298 control deliveries that occurred at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University from January 1998 to December 2022.
