Introduction: Over the past few decades, there have been multiple reports of liposuction assisted breast reduction. This technique appeals to patients due to the limited scars and complication profile, compared to traditional reduction mammaplasty techniques. We aimed to systematically review the literature, to elucidate the outcomes and safety of liposuction-only breast reduction.

Background: Aesthetic surgery training renders to be challenging to acquire sufficient hands-on experience during residency. To resolve this problem, the "Munich Model" was established in our clinic: Senior residents perform aesthetic surgeries, supervised by an experienced plastic surgeon while patients benefit from reduced surgery costs. With this model, we hypothesize no significant differences in the postoperative outcome between procedures performed by residents and plastic surgeons.

Purpose: We investigated whether a one-stage combination of vascularized lymph node transfer (VLNT) with water jet-assisted liposuction (WAL) can be safely performed and results in improved patient outcomes such as a greater reduction in arm volume when treating chronic breast cancer-related lymphedema (BCRL).
Methods: In this retrospective cohort study, we included all patients from our encrypted lymphedema database treated for chronic BCRL with VLNT or VLNT + WAL who had a minimum follow-up of two years. We analyzed patient-specific variables including arm circumferences as well as patient-reported outcomes before and after surgery as well as surgery time, surgery-related complications and patient satisfaction.

Isolated injury to the axillary nerve associated with the patient's surgical position is a very rare complication, and in most cases it is associated with the prone during spinal surgery. The presentation of this pathology in relation to surgeries of another nature is exceptional, with only a few cases in the scientific literature. We present the case of a patient who developed symptoms of isolated left axillary nerve palsy after undergoing lipoabdominoplasty and breast reduction, in which the prone and supine positions were alternated.

Background: Breast reduction is a time-consuming procedure with a relatively high complication rate. Furthermore, recurrent breast enlargement can occur in case of postoperative weight gain. The authors describe a breast reduction technique based on liposuction, followed mostly by skin resection alone, which makes this operation easier, faster, and safer, with more stable results.

Introduction: Revising unsatisfactory outcomes in breast augmentation represents one of the most challenging procedures in aesthetic breast surgery. Different techniques for revising unsatisfactory outcomes in breast augmentation have been described, which can be summarized in two options: implant replacement procedures and implant explantation procedures. Implant explantation procedures can be performed alone or in combination with other techniques to restore volume.

Background: In a vertical mammaplasty, various types of pedicles have been proposed for the nipple-areola transposition. The preparation of any type of nipple-areola flap necessitates disconnecting the nipple-areola from the breast gland, except for the pedicle bearing glandular part. These flap-dependent techniques not only impair the functions of the breast but also do not provide enough fullness to the upper pole.

Introduction: Whereas body-contouring surgery after massive weight loss in women receives much attention, little attention has been devoted to accentuating the male physique. Male patients after massive weight loss often suffer from redundant skin and soft tissue in the anterior and lateral chest region, causing various deformities of pseudogynecomastia. The authors present their approach to high-grade pseudogynecomastia correction with preservation of the NAC on an inferior dermoglandular pedicle with transverse scar only closure and without any meaningful liposuction.

Surgical correction of gynaecomastia correction sometimes necessitates skin reduction in addition to resection of glandular tissue and liposuction of the fat deposits. Many skin reduction techniques have been described but all suffer from very noticeable and often poor scars that can manifest as hypertrophic or keloid scars in patients with dark skin. Three large gynaecomastia patients undergoing a modification of the Lalonde "no vertical scar" breast reduction technique designed to reduce the extent of scarring were reviewed.

Background: Upper limb lymphedema is a common problem after axillary lymph node dissection. Lymphatic drainage can be improved by microvascular lymph node transfer, whereas liposuction can be used to reduce arm volume and excess of adipose tissue. We present the results of chronic lymphedema patients who have undergone lymph node transfer and liposuction simultaneously in 1 operation and compare the results with patients who have undergone lymph node transfer without liposuction.

Background: Arm lymphedema is a well-recognized complication after breast cancer surgery that negatively impacts patients' quality of life, both physiologically and psychologically. Lymph stasis and inflammation result in excess formation of adipose tissue, which makes removal of the deposited subcutaneous fat necessary to eliminate the excess volume. Liposuction, combined with postoperative controlled compression therapy (CCT), is the only treatment that gives complete reduction of the excess volume.

As older people increasingly care for their body image and remain active longer, the demand for reduction mammaplasty is increasing in this population. Only a few studies of reduction mammaplasty have specifically focussed on the outcomes in elderly women. We developed a new breast reduction technique: the Liposuction-Assisted Four Pedicle-Based Breast Reduction (LAFPBR) that is especially indicated for elderly patients.

Breast cancer-related lymphedema (BCRL) is a debilitating late complication with a lack of treatment opportunities. Recent studies have suggested that mesenchymal stromal cells can alleviate lymphedema. Herein, we report the results from the first human pilot study with freshly isolated adipose-derived regenerative cells (ADRC) for treating lymphedema with 6 months follow-up.

It is generally claimed that short-scar mammaplasty is limited to small-to-medium reductions. Its use in patients with severe macromastia has been associated with a high rate of complications. This report presents our experience of reduction mammaplasty greater than 1000 g per breast using a short-scar technique.

Unlabelled: Acceptable scar positioning on the anterior male chest is very limited. In Gynecomastia surgery, an obvious areolar incision is the most sensitive indicator of a previous operation; a less apparent scar is indispensable for the patient's psychological satisfaction. Whenever only areolar diameter reduction is required, the circumareolar incision must be performed in a position leaving the least conspicuous scar.
