Cystic neutrophilic granulomatous mastitis (CNGM) is a rare type of granulomatous lobular mastitis (GLM) with a distinct histologic pattern characterized on histopathology by clear lipid vacuoles lined by peripheral neutrophils ("suppurative lipogranulomas"), often containing gram-positive bacilli and strongly associated with Corynebacterial infection (in particular, Corynebacterium kroppenstedtii). Cystic neutrophilic granulomatous mastitis has a distinct histopathologic appearance, but the imaging appearance is less well described and has been limited to case reports and small case series published primarily in pathology literature. Mammographic findings of CNGM include focal asymmetry, skin thickening, and irregular or oval masses.

Chronic mastitis varies in etiology between its lactational and nonlactational forms and can be challenging to diagnose. This study aimed to assess the epidemiological profile and diverse etiologies of nonlactational mastitis in Amazonas, Brazil, focusing on distinguishing between tuberculous mastitis (TM) and idiopathic granulomatous mastitis (IGM). This is a retrospective and prospective study that was carried out at the mastitis outpatient clinic of Fundação de Medicina Tropical Doutor Heitor Vieira Dourado from 2013 to 2021 and evaluated epidemiological data, imaging, and laboratory tests.

Background: Tuberculous mastitis (TBM), is an uncommon form of extra-pulmonary tuberculosis. Clinical and radiological overlap of tuberculous mastitis with malignancy and other granulomatous conditions, along with its paucibacillary nature, make it a diagnostic challenge. In our study, we aim to assess the radiological response of microbiologically negative granulomatous mastitis cases to anti-tuberculous treatment (ATT) in an endemic country.

BACKGROUND Breast cancer (BC) is the most common malignant disease in females and one of the leading causes of death worldwide. Its treatment plan includes a long-term follow-up and close surveillance, as recurrence is a well-acknowledged concern. BC can recur either locally or as a metastasis, and skin metastasis is a common complication in advanced breast cancer patients.

We report a case of 31-year-old female with no past medical history who presented with sudden onset discharging skin ulcer in left inframammary fold with erythema and swelling immediately after she came back from holiday for which she presented to the breast one stop clinic and underwent ultrasound-guided aspiration of the detected cystic lesion in the left breast with impression of breast abscess. Afterwards, as the result of cytology reporting as C5, ultrasound-guided Core-Needle Biopsy was performed, which confirmed poorly differentiated carcinoma of breast. Furthermore, similar necrotizing masses were found in axillary lymph nodes and Liver.

Nonetheless, our case report showcases an exceptional instance involving a 70-year-old female patient who presented with symptoms suggestive of colonic obstruction, an unusual presentation that is not commonly associated with RPF. Although RPF has established associations with autoimmune conditions such as immunoglobulin G4-related disease and systemic lupus erythematosus, its connection to colonic obstruction remains undocumented in the medical literature.

Objective: to determine the clinical presentations and histopathological findings of idiopathic granulomatous mastitis, and to evaluate clinical outcomes after management.
Methods: between 2007 and 2021, the files and histopathology reports of 17 patients with idiopathic granulomatous mastitis at Tishreen University Hospital, Latakia, Syria were reviewed. The data were analyzed and a scan through relevant literature was carried out to review related cases.

The lactating breast can develop a wide range of conditions that require surgical management, from abscess drainage to the evaluation of nipple-areolar complex (NAC) lesions. In addition, both benign and malignant masses can present in the lactating population. Patients should undergo routine diagnostic workup including core needle biopsy if indicated.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is recognized as a multisystem disease affecting the whole body, with new complications from the disease being described on an almost-daily basis. We report the case of a 50-year-old female with a medical history of diabetes and silicone breast implants who developed right-sided, multicentric breast masses after a prolonged hospitalization for COVID-19 infection complicated by renal failure requiring dialysis. The patient noted an onset of breast pain and masses, and subsequent imaging demonstrated multiple similar oval masses.

Idiopathic granulomatous mastitis (IGM) is a chronic inflammatory disease of the breast with unknown etiology that is characterized by granuloma formation. We analyzed the clinical, radiological, and therapeutic approaches; the recurrence rate of the disease; and the pathological findings diagnosed with mastitis in a retrospective study. We evaluated a total of 77 patients subjected to core needle or excisional biopsy with preliminary diagnosis of mastitis between January 2017-December 2019 who diagnosed with IGM, nonspecific mastitis/abscess, or periductal mastitis/plasma cell mastitis as a result of their pathological assessment.

Background: Idiopathic Granulomatous Mastitis (IGM) is a benign chronic inflammatory breast condition that mimics two common breast disorders: breast carcinoma and breast abscess. It can form breast masses, fistulae, and fluid collections, resulting in breast disfigurement with retraction and nipple areolar complex (NAC) inversion. IGM most often presents in women of childbearing age within a few years of pregnancy, and can significantly impact lactation.

Background: Despite improvements in imaging techniques that have enhanced the ability to diagnose hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), histopathological evaluation of many other types of liver masses is critical.
Aims: To evaluate the utility of liver biopsy in patients with radiologically undiagnosed liver masses.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 293 consecutive patients who had a liver biopsy for evaluation of an undiagnosed liver mass between January 2014 and January 2018.

Breast complaints in the emergency department (ED) include trauma, infection, pain, masses, and nipple discharge. Breast cancer mimics other inflammatory conditions such as mastitis and abscess. Differentiating infectious processes versus cancer can become problematic when no imaging is used.
