Approaches to regenerative endodontic therapy in necrotic human teeth with complete root formation: a systematic review.

Introduction: Regenerative endodontic procedures (REPs) aim to replace damaged dental structures and regenerate the dentin-pulp complex. Initially focused on teeth with incomplete root formation, recent research shows promise for necrotic teeth with complete root formation.

Methodology: This review, following PRISMA guidelines and registered in PROSPERO, included clinical studies on regenerative endodontic therapy in necrotic human teeth with complete root formation.

Cytotoxicity and Bioactivity of Calcium Silicate-based Cements in a Culture of Stem Cells from the Apical Papilla.

Introduction: The present study evaluated the cytotoxicity and bioactivity of commonly-used calcium silicate-based cements in a culture of stem cells from the apical papilla (SCAPs).

Materials And Methods: NeoMTA Plus (Avalon Biomed), Biodentine (Septodont) and MTA HP Repair (Angelus) cements were evaluated using the 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl-2H-tetrazolium bromide (MTT) and sulphorhodamine-B (SRB) viability assays. Cells were seeded (1*10 cells mL) in 96-well plates and exposed to 1:4 diluted extract in 24 h and 72 h.

Barbatimão (, Mart.) is a native Brazilian species used in traditional medicine and some commercial preparations owing to its strong wound-healing activity. However, controversy regarding its use due to safety concerns over the potential genotoxic effect of this plant remains.

Description of the technique of upper gastrointestinal series radiological examination for the evaluation of the esophagus, stomach and duodenum of Wistar female rats.

Purpose: To evaluate the anatomy of female Wistar rats and the workability of contrast radiography as a technique to investigate the gastrointestinal series.

Methods: Eight adult female Wistar rats were undergone to the contrast radiography as anteroposterior incidence and as posterior incidence in profile. The radiological examination was conducted at a 45 degrees angle to the radiological table.

Orthodontic space closure of lost traumatized anterior teeth - case report.

This case report refers to an 11-year-old boy with avulsion of the upper left central and lateral incisors. The teeth were replanted after 4 h, splinted with a semi-rigid splint for 12 days, and then endodontically treated. Severe progressive root resorption was seen after 2 years and the teeth were extracted.
