Background: The relationship between obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) and ischaemic stroke is less known.

Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between OSAS and silent brain infarcts (SBI).

Methods: Patients who applied to our clinic with the complaint of snoring, respiratory arrest during sleep, that underwent polysomnography were included.

Background And Aims: Patients with multiple sclerosis (PwMS) may suffer severely from falling and gait disturbance. Cognitive dysfunction, a common condition in MS patients, may also increase falling rates, regardless of physical disability. Correlation of brain segmental volume changes with clinical parameters: a longitudinal study in multiple sclerosis patients.

Objective: To measure the cranial volume differences from 15 different parts in the follow-up of relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) patients and correlate them with clinical parameters.

Methods: Forty-seven patients with RRMS were included in the study. Patients were grouped into two categories; low Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS) (< 3; group 1), and moderate-high EDSS (≥ 3; group 2).

Aim: In this prospective study, the efficiency of imaging findings was investigated by comparing the histopathological results of lymph nodes with Doppler and ultrasound features and elasticity scores.

Material And Method: A total of 100 cervical or axillary lymph nodes with a suspected malignancy or whose size did not decrease after treatment were examined. In addition to the demographic data of the patients, B-mode ultrasound, Doppler ultrasound, and elastography features of the lymph nodes were evaluated prospectively.

Effect of Adiponectin on Acute Experimental Cerebral Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury.

Aim: To examine the effect of adiponectin administration on acute brain injury in an experimental model of cerebral ischemia/ reperfusion (I/R) in rats.

Material And Methods: The study animals were divided into the following four groups: group I, sham (did not undergo surgical intervention and did not receive drugs); group II, the I/R model (received the intervention, but did not receive drugs); group III (I/Radiponectin) (the I/R model was used, and the animals were treated with 5 mg/kg adiponectin peritoneally 30 minutes after the ischemia); and group IV (I/R-tirofiban)( the I/R model was used, and the animals were treated with 0.5 mg/kg tirofiban peritoneally 30 minutes after the ischemia).

Methods: We conducted a multicentre, cross-sectional, descriptive study covering the period January 2005 to June 2019 for 2 145 668 pregnant women from 27 provinces in all 7 regions of Turkey, collected using Microsoft Excel before statistical analysis.

Objectives: To assess the clinical features and outcomes of Pseudomonas aeruginosa bloodstream infection (PA BSI) in neutropenic patients with hematological malignancies (HM) and with solid tumors (ST), and identify the risk factors for 30-day mortality. Methods: We performed a large multicenter, retrospective cohort study including onco-hematological neutropenic patients with PA BSI conducted across 34 centers in 12 countries (January 2006−May 2018). Episodes occurring in hematologic patients were compared to those developing in patients with ST.

Background: Restless legs syndrome (RLS) is one of the most frequent comorbidities accompanying multiple sclerosis. Patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) show thinning in the retinal layers throughout the disease. The thinning is related to acute attacks and progression and atrophy of the brain.

Ixekizumab for the treatment of the patients with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis: Clinical data from a real-world experience.
