Twice-weekly induction with ixazomib-lenalidomide-dexamethasone (IRd) combination followed by extended IRd consolidation and lenalidomide maintenance in transplant-eligible patients with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma: Results of the phase 2 study IFM2014-03.

Therapeutic strategies for patients with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (NDMM) have considerably improved during the last 10 years. The IFM2014-03 trial proposed an all-oral triplet induction/consolidation regimen in transplant-eligible NDMM patients, followed by lenalidomide maintenance. Induction consisted of three 21-day cycles of ixazomib, lenalidomide and dexamethasone (IRd), before high-dose Melphalan with transplant followed by eight 28-day cycles of IRd consolidation before 13 cycles of lenalidomide maintenance.

Outcomes and safety of endovascular treatment from 6 to 24 hours in patients with a pre-stroke moderate disability (mRS 3): a multicenter retrospective study.

Background: Approximately 30% of patients presenting with acute ischemic stroke (AIS) due to large vessel occlusion have pre-stroke modified Rankin Scale (mRS) scores ≥2. We aimed to investigate the safety and outcomes of endovascular treatment (EVT) in patients with AIS with moderate pre-stroke disability (mRS score 3) in an extended time frame (ie, 6-24 hours from the last time known well).

Methods: Data were collected from five centers in Europe and the USA from January 2018 to January 2023 and included 180 patients who underwent EVT in an extended time frame.

Prediction of dementia risk from multimodal repeated measures: The added value of brain MRI biomarkers.

Abstract: The utility of brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for predicting dementia is debated. We evaluated the added value of repeated brain MRI, including atrophy and cerebral small vessel disease markers, for dementia prediction. We conducted a landmark competing risk analysis in 1716 participants of the French population-based Three-City Study to predict the 5-year risk of dementia using repeated measures of 41 predictors till year 4 of follow-up.

AltaValve Atrial Fixation System for the Treatment of Severe Mitral Regurgitation and Mitral Annular Calcification.

Background: Treatment options for patients with mitral regurgitation (MR) and mitral annular calcification (MAC) are limited. The limitations of current transcatheter mitral valve replacement (TMVR) technologies include high screen failure rates, increased risk of left ventricular outflow tract obstruction, and high residual regurgitation. The aim of this study was to evaluate outcomes of TMVR with the AltaValve system (4C Medical, Maple Grove, MN), a supra-annular TMVR with atrial fixation, in patients with severe MR and moderate or severe MAC.

Adolescent- and adult-onset neuroblastic tumor: A retrospective multicenter observational study of patients diagnosed in France between 2000 and 2020.

Outpatient vs. inpatient total shoulder arthroplasty: complication rates, clinical outcomes, and eligibility parameters.

Background: Improvements in total shoulder arthroplasty (TSA), fast-track surgery, multimodal anesthesia, and rehabilitation protocols have opened up the possibility of outpatient care that is now routinely practiced at our European institution. The first objective of this study was to define the TSA outpatient population and to verify that outpatient management of TSA does not increase the risk of complications. The second objective was to determine patient eligibility parameters and the third was to compare functional outcomes and identify influencing factors.
