There is a growing interest in delivering videoconferencing psychotherapy (VCP) due to the enormous impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on our lives since the beginning of severe restrictions worldwide in March 2020. Scientific literature has provided interesting results about the transition to remote sessions and its implications, considering different psychotherapy orientations. Less is known about whether and how VCP affects psychodynamic psychotherapeutic approaches and reports on remote work with severe and complex mental health problems such as severe personality disorders are still scarce.

We aimed to generate an expert consensus addressing recommendations for family planning in MS patients of childbearing age. Initially, a committee comprising seven neurologists, experts in the MS field, identified the topics to be addressed.

In this study, we explore interactions between cancer cells by using the hawk-dove game. We analyze the heterogeneity of tumors by considering games with populations composed of 2 or 3 types of cell. We determine what strategies are evolutionarily stable in the 2-type and 3-type population games and what the corresponding expected payoffs are.

Background: Proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR) is an advanced complication of diabetic retinopathy that can cause blindness. It consists of the presence of new vessels in the retina and vitreous haemorrhage. Although panretinal photocoagulation (PRP) is the treatment of choice for PDR, it has secondary effects that can affect vision.

Background: Chlamydia trachomatis (CT) and Neisseria gonorrhoeae (NG) infections are a public health problem, worsened by frequent reinfections, whose incidence rate is not known in Spain. The objective of this study is to estimate in patients diagnosed with NG, CT or mixed infection (NG and CT): (1) the incidence of reinfections by the same microorganism, (2) the total incidence of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI), both by the same microorganism and by infections other than the initial one, and (3) to identify predictors of reinfection.
Methods: Observational prospective case series involving 986 patients with CT and/or NG at specialized STI clinics in Biscay (Spain) between 2016 and 2019.

Purpose Of Review: Intratumor heterogeneity (ITH) is an inherent characteristic of most tumors and its detection remains a key task for pathologists. However, the clinical significance of the degree of development of this feature is still poorly understood.
Recent Findings: A series of 28 clear cell renal cell carcinomas (CCRCC) have been exhaustively analyzed with two different sampling protocols [multisite tumor sampling (MSTS) and total sampling] to evaluate to what point the level (low vs.

The partial remission (PR) phase, a period experienced by most patients with type 1 diabetes (T1D) soon after diagnosis, is characterized by low insulin requirements and improved glycemic control. Given the great potential of this phase as a therapeutic window for immunotherapies because of its association with immunoregulatory mechanisms and β-cell protection, our objective was to find peripheral immunological biomarkers for its better characterization, monitoring, and prediction. The longitudinal follow-up of 17 pediatric patients with new-onset T1D over one year revealed that, during the PR phase, remitter patients show increased percentages of effector memory (EM) T lymphocytes, terminally differentiated EM T lymphocytes, and neutrophils in comparison to non-remitter patients.

Introduction: anemia and iron deficiency predispose to an increased risk of transfusion with a consequent increase in morbidity and mortality. The study analyzes whether blood cell count parameters in addition to detecting anemia can predict iron deficiency and/or transfusional risk in patients undergoing mostly to scheduled primary hip and knee arthroplasty.
Objective: To analyze how blood cell count parameters predict iron deficiency and/or transfusional risk in patients undergoing programmed arthroplasty.

Melanoma is the deadliest form of skin cancer due to its ability to colonize distant sites and initiate metastasis. Although these processes largely depend on the lipid-based cell membrane scaffold, our understanding of the melanoma lipid phenotype lags behind most other aspects of this tumor cell. Here, we examined a panel of normal human epidermal and nevus melanocytes and primary and metastatic melanoma cell lines to determine whether distinctive cell-intrinsic lipidomes can discern non-neoplastic from neoplastic melanocytes and define their metastatic potential.

Aims/hypothesis: We aimed to evaluate the relationship between childhood growth measures and risk of developing islet autoimmunity (IA) and type 1 diabetes in children with an affected first-degree relative and increased HLA-conferred risk. We hypothesised that being overweight or obese during childhood is associated with a greater risk of IA and type 1 diabetes.
Methods: Participants in a randomised infant feeding trial (N = 2149) were measured at 12 month intervals for weight and length/height and followed for IA (at least one positive out of insulin autoantibodies, islet antigen-2 autoantibody, GAD autoantibody and zinc transporter 8 autoantibody) and development of type 1 diabetes from birth to 10-14 years.

Background: Familial hypomagnesemia with hypercalciuria and nephrocalcinosis (FHHNC) is an autosomal recessive tubulopathy characterized by excessive urinary wasting of magnesium and calcium, bilateral nephrocalcinosis, and progressive chronic renal failure in childhood or adolescence. FHHNC is caused by mutations in CLDN16 and CLDN19, which encode the tight-junction proteins claudin-16 and claudin-19, respectively. Most of these mutations are missense mutations and large deletions are rare.

Maintaining the ability to walk is one of the significant challenges in people with multiple sclerosis (MS) for keeping a good quality of life as the disease and the aging process progresses. Overground robotic (OR) wearable exoskeletons are promising tools for gait rehabilitation, but currently there is no evidence of their clinical effects on patients with MS. The present study aims to determine the effects of an OR intervention in people with MS and moderate to severe walking disabilities and ascertain if benefits are maintained over a follow-up period of 3 months.
