Article Synopsis
  • The study examined the impact of aerobic exercise on heart lipid metabolism in rats fed a high-fat diet.
  • Fifty-five male Wistar rats were divided into five groups, with some undergoing swimming exercises and others on different diets to measure various health indicators over six weeks.
  • Results showed that aerobic exercise significantly reduced harmful biochemical markers and improved beneficial lipid profiles in rats on high-fat diets compared to control groups.

Objective: To study the effects of aerobic exercise combined with chlorella pyrenoidos of disintegrated cell wall on the lipid metabolism in rats with high-fat diet.

Methods: Fifty-five male Wistar rats were subjected to adaptive feeding for 4 days and weight-free swimming training for 3 days, 20 min/d. After eliminating 5 rats that were not suitable for swimming training, the other rats were randomly divided into 5 groups according to their body weight:control group (C group), high fat diet group (H group), high-fat diet + chlorella group(HC group), high fat diet + aerobic exercise group (HM group), high fat diet + chlorella + aerobic exercise group (HMC group), 10 in each group.

Departments of Food science, Biochemical Engineering College of Beijing Union University, China / Beijing Key Laboratory of Biomass Waste Resource Utilization, China.

In order to conceal the unpleasant smell of pharmaceutical raw materials of Penicillin V potassium, we use β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) as a drug carrier. The Penicillin V potassium β-CD inclusion complex was prepared by saturated aqueous solution method; the characterization of penicillin V potassium β-CD inclusion complex is determined by scanning electron microscopy, Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC) and X-ray Diffraction (XRD), the formation constants of the complexes were determined by UV spectrophotometry; based on the results obtained from the orthogonal experimental design, the optimum preparation process are summarized as follow: β-CD: Penicillin V potassium = 4: 1 (molar ratio), stirring temperature 50 centigrade, stirring time 12h, the encapsulation efficiency is 29.40%.

Objective: To study the protective effects of () on myocardial injury of rats induced by endurance and intensive exercise.

Methods: The model was based on intensive endurance training. Sixty-five male aged 42 days Wistar rats were randomly divided into 5 groups:control group (C group), general training group (M group), low dose + training group (HM I group), middle dose + training group (HM Ⅱ group), high dose + training group (HM Ⅲ group).

Article Synopsis
  • - The study explores using regioselective enzymatic acylation to enhance the solubility of proanthocyanidins in oil while keeping it resistant to oxidation.
  • - Experimental findings reveal butanol as the most effective solvent with a molar ratio of lauric acid to proanthocyanidins at 4:1, and suggest adding a molecular sieve after 5 hours to improve esterification conversion.
  • - Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) separation shows that an optimal solvent mix of ethyl acetate, petroleum ether, and acetic acid (2:3:0.5 ratio) achieves a 60.9% esterification yield.

Gene Arrangements in Expression Vector Affect 3-Hydroxypropionic Acid Production in Klebsiella pneumoniae.

College of Life Science and Technology, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Beijing, 100029 People's Republic of China.

Biosynthesis of 3-hydroxypropionic acid (3-HP) typically involves two sequential reactions catalyzed by glycerol dehydratase (DhaB) and aldehyde dehydrogenase (AldH). Although plasmid-dependent over-expression of the two enzymes is common, systematic investigation of gene arrangement in vector has not been reported. Here we show that gene arrangements have a noticeable influence on 3-HP production.

Potassium is one of the three most important plant nutrient elements, so many researchers pay attention on its fertilizer efficiency. But fertilizers were all industrial products containing many other nutrient elements in most experiments of fertilizer efficiency. All the other nutrient elements, including necessitous elements and beneficial elements in potassium fertilizer (KCl) were analyzed by method of ICP-MS.

Objective: To investigate the effect of soybean isoflavone on blood lipid and the expression of LDLR mRNA in ovariectomied rats.

Methods: Forty eight Sprague-Dawley rats were divided randomly into four groups: Sham group (sham), OVX group (OVX), OVX + gemifibrozil (G) group (OVX + G) and OVX + isoflavone (ISO) group (OVX_ISO). in which the rats were treated with G or ISO for three months starting from two weeks after both sides of rat' s ovarietomy.

Objective: To extract coumarins from Angelica Dahurica by supercritical CO2.

Method: Six-factor and three-level orthogonal experimental design was used to optimize the SFE conditions as guided by the content of total coumarins in the extract. Constituents of the coumarins were analyzed by GC-MS, and their relative contents were determined by normalization method of areas.
