Background: SET domain-containing protein 5 (SETD5) could promote non-small cell lung cancer (NS-CLC) cell invasion, but the effect of SETD5 on NSCLC cell stemness characteristics is unknown. Thus we attempted to evaluate the effect of SETD5 on NSCLC stemness and its mechanism.
Methods: The expressions of SETD5 and stemness-related genes (SOX2, OCT4, ABCG2) were detected in NSCLC tissues by immunohistochemistry assay, qRT-PCR, and western blot.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to elucidate the regulatory effects of microRNA-655-3p (miR-655-3p) on growth and invasiveness of trophoblasts to influence the development of preeclampsia (PE).
Patients And Methods: Relative levels of miR-655-3p and PBX3 in 24 PE pregnant women and 24 healthy ones were examined. Then, the regulatory effects of miR-655-3p and PBX3 on viability and invasiveness in HTR-8/SVneo cells were assessed by Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) and transwell assay, respectively.

Purpose: To explore the efficacy and safety of irreversible electroporation (IRE) ablation combined with natural killer (NK) cells in the treatment of locally advanced pancreatic cancer (LAPC).
Methods: A total of 92 LAPC patients treated in our hospital from January 2016 to January 2017 were enrolled, and there were 46 cases of percutaneous IRE as IRE group, and 46 cases of IRE combined NK cell therapy as IRE-NK group. The clinical information of all the patients was collected, and the short-term efficacy, changes in the serum immunological indicators after treatment, carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (CA19-9) level, and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups of patients.

It has been reported microRNA-301b (miR-301b) was involved in the tumorigenesis of some cancers, but it has not been investigated in cervical carcinoma yet. In this study, miR-301b was found significantly upregulated in cervical carcinoma, and patients with high miR-301b expression had a shorter overall survival. When miR-301b was knocked down in cervical carcinoma cells, the cell growth could be significantly abolished.

Purpose: This study set out to probe into the effect and mechanism of miR-144-3p on radiosensitivity of gastric cancer (GC) cells.
Methods: Cancer tissue and paracancerous tissue of GC patients admitted to our hospital were collected, their miR-144-3p expression was tested, GC cells were transfected, and survival and biological behavior of those cells under radiation were detected.
Results: After detection, miR-144-3p expression was down-regulated in GC tissue, while ZEB1 was up-regulated.

Background: We aimed to explore the treatment and safety of subarachnoid hemorrhage.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was applied on 137 patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage treated in Binzhou Central Hospital, Bingzhou, China from March 2015 to October 2018. Seventy cases with interventional embolization of intracranial aneurysms were divided as the observation group, and 67 cases with craniotomy for aneurysm clipping were divided as the control group.

Objective: To evaluate functional and radiological outcomes in distal femoral fracture patients (distal femoral shaft fractures or metaphyseal fractures) receiving indirect reduction and internal fixation with the minimally invasive percutaneous plate osteosynthesis (MIPPO) assisted by 3D printing navigation templates.
Methods: This retrospective study included all adult (≥18 years) patients who underwent MIPPO for distal femoral fracture (AO32/33) at PLA 960 Hospital, Jinan, China between January 1, 2013 and December 31, 2016. 3D printed navigation templates were used to assist surgery.

Background: The objective of the study was to depict the pathoanatomy of traumatic valgus instability of the elbow and to report clinical outcomes of primary operation.

Aim: The aim of this study was to detect the effects and potential mechanisms of microRNA-221 on a series of biological behaviors of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) cells in vitro and in vivo.
Methods: First, we analyzed the relationship between the expression of miR-221 and several clinicopathological features of PTC patients and then detected the expression of the miR-221 in tumor tissues and cell lines. The effects of miR-221 on proliferation and invasion of PTC cells were verified by cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) assay, wound healing assay and transwell assay.
