The aims of the present article are twofold. First, it attempts to theorise the thematic and ontological intersection between phenomenological and black bioethics and proposes 'Ontic-Black Bioethics', a neologism to evince how the corporeal misconceptions (such as race construct, bodily othering and colourism) become the cultural impediment for black women healthcare professionals. The article draws specific insights from the philosophical anthropology of race, ranging from Richard Polt to Sarah Ahmed, to understand the epistemic structures of scientific racism.

The application of quinolones stretches over a large umbrella of medicinal field as well as chemosensor due to the presence of privileged heterocyclic aromatic rig system. Salicyl and Naphthyl Hydrazide motifs are also established fluorophore groups. Therefore in this work, we have designed and synthesized Salicyl hydrazide (3a-c) and naphthyl hydrazide fused nitroquinolones (5a-c) investigated for their fluorescent behaviour.

The Old-World quails, (common quail) and (Japanese quail), are morphologically similar yet occupy distinct geographic ranges. This study aimed to elucidate their evolutionary trajectory and ancestral distribution patterns through a thorough analysis of their mitochondrial genomes. Mitogenomic analysis revealed high structural conservation, identical translational mechanisms, and similar evolutionary pressures in both species.

The goal of the study was to investigate the changes in the gut microbiota during the advancement of gastric cancer (GC) and identify pertinent taxa associated with the disease. We used a public fecal amplicon gastric cancer dataset from the Sequence Retrieval Archive (SRA), of patients with GC, gastritis, and healthy individuals. We did sequence pre-processing, including quality filtering of the sequences.

Nonclassical crystallization represents an innovative pathway that utilizes nanoparticles, enabling the generation of single crystals, going beyond a classical mechanism dependent on atoms, ions, or molecules. Our investigation has revealed hierarchical structures emerging via the aggregation and fusion of primary silicon quantum dots (SiQDs). In contrast to the classical ion-by-ion crystallization process, the primary SiQDs initially undergo aggregation, followed by fusion and their subsequent crystallization, leading to the ultrafast crystal growth of sodium hexafluorosilicate (SHFS) microrods with diverse morphologies.

Humans benefit from a vast community of microorganisms in their gastrointestinal tract, known as the gut microbiota, numbering in the tens of trillions. An imbalance in the gut microbiota known as dysbiosis, can lead to changes in the metabolite profile, elevating the levels of toxins like toxin (BFT), colibactin, and cytolethal distending toxin. These toxins are implicated in the process of oncogenesis.

Unlabelled: Diosgenin (DG), a well-known steroidal sapogenin, is abundantly found in the plants of the Dioscoreaceae family and exhibits diverse pharmacological properties. In our previous study, we demonstrated that DG supplementation protected from high glucose-induced lipid deposition, oxidative damage, and lifespan reduction. Nevertheless, the precise biological mechanisms underlying the beneficial effects of DG have not yet been described.

The intricate nature of carbohydrates, particularly monosaccharides, stems from the existence of several chiral centers within their tertiary structures. Predicting and characterizing the molecular geometries and electrostatic landscapes of these substances is difficult due to their complex electrical properties. Moreover, these structures can display a substantial degree of conformational flexibility due to the presence of many rotatable bonds.

RNA N4-acetylcytidine (ac4C) is a highly conserved RNA modification that plays a crucial role in controlling mRNA stability, processing, and translation. Consequently, accurate identification of ac4C sites across the genome is critical for understanding gene expression regulation mechanisms. In this study, we have developed ac4C-AFL, a bioinformatics tool that precisely identifies ac4C sites from primary RNA sequences.

Discovering a therapeutic that can counteract the aggressiveness of this disease's mechanism is crucial for improving survival rates for cancer patients and for better understanding the most different types of cancer. In recent years, using these viruses as an anticancer therapy has been thought to be successful. They mostly work by directly destroying cancer cells, activating the immune system to fight cancer, and expressing exogenous effector genes.

Enormous aggregates of keratinous wastes are produced annually by the poultry and leather industries which cause environmental degradation globally. To combat this issue, microbially synthesized extracellular proteases known as keratinase are used widely which is effective in degrading keratin found in hair and feathers. In the present work, keratinolytic bacteria were isolated from poultry farm soil and feather waste, and various cultural conditions were optimized to provide the highest enzyme production for efficient keratin waste degradation.

Kangayam cattle are one of the drought breeds in India with distinct attributes. Agricultural transformation has led to a decline in many pure-breed indigenous cattle, including the Kangayam breed. Hence, a study on the reproductive physiology of male Kangayam breed cattle is necessary to disentangle problems in the area of livestock improvement.
