Neuroinflammation and the immune response are recognized as significant mechanisms contributing to the progression and pathophysiology of Parkinson's disease (PD). Consequently, extensive research is being conducted on drugs targeting inflammation and immune response. Leflunomide, known for its anti‑inflammatory and immunomodulatory properties, is currently used as a disease‑modifying agent for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.

: Subthalamic nucleus deep brain stimulation (STN-DBS) is a standard treatment for motor complications in Parkinson's disease (PD). Its impact on axial symptoms is still not fully understood. This study aimed to quantitatively evaluate the effect of frequency changes within the therapeutic window on postural control performances of individuals with PD who underwent bilateral STN-DBS.

Background: We aimed to evaluate the predictive determitants in patients with PHF who were treated with reverse shoulder arthroplasty (RSA) by evaluating the patient characteristics and comorbidities and extensive preoperative laboratory parameters.
Methods: With examining the records of elderly patients (over 65 years old) with PHF, who were admitted to our emergency department between 2009 and 2020. For evaluation of the survival, we performed Kaplan-Meirer statistical anaylses.
Introduction Intracranial hypotension can occur for many reasons, including trauma, surgery, congenital defects, or spontaneous rupture of the dura mater. Symptoms appear long before cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks are diagnosed. Treatment procedures include a variety of conservative and invasive techniques appropriate to the nature of the etiological cause and the severity of the disease.

Purpose: Invasive methods such as lumbar puncture and intraventricular catheters are commonly used to measure intracranial pressure (ICP). This study aims to develop quantitative and non-invasive techniques to measure ICP in patients with Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH) using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings.
Methods: MRI data obtained from 50 patients with IIH and 30 age- and sex- matched controls were analyzed and optic nerve sheath diameter (ONSD), eyeball transverse diameter (ETD) and optic nerve diameter (OND) were measured.

Background: Increasing evidence suggests that inflammatory biomarkers play a significant role in cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST). The neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), and monocyte-to-lymphocyte ratio (MLR) are related to thrombotic conditions and indicators of systemic inflammation.
Objective: To analyze the correlation between inflammatory biomarkers and the extent of thrombus, determined by the CVST-Score.

Endoscopic ultrasound-guided pancreatic duct drainage (EUS-PDD) is a method of decompressing the pancreatic duct (PD) if unable to access the papilla or surgical anastomosis, particularly in nonsurgical candidates. The 2 types of EUS-PDD are EUS-assisted pancreatic rendezvous (EUS-PRV) and EUS-guided pancreaticogastrostomy (EUS-PG). EUS-PRV should be considered in patients with accessible papilla or anastomosis, while EUS-PG is a comparable alternative in surgically altered foregut anatomy.

Adult degenerative scoliosis (ADS) is a coronal deviation of the spine greater than 10° resulting from the progressive degeneration of the vertebral elements in middle age, which is a three-dimensional deformity. In this study, the effect of conservative treatment methods on pain, disability, and quality of life of patients with ADS was evaluated. Thirty females with ADS were included in the present study.

In the elderly population, Parkinson's Disease (PD) is the second most common neurodegenerative disorder and is associated with morphological changes in the basal ganglia, especially the substantia nigra (SN). This study aimed to evaluate the volume and signal intensity (SI) of SN using Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) to detect structural changes and investigate the relationship between the onset side and disease severity of PD. Clinical features and imaging data of 58 patients with PD were retrospectively analyzed from their medical records.

Background: The objective of this study was to evaluate the abilitiy of eccentric reaming in reverse total shoulder arthroplasty (RSA), in patients with glenohumeral osteoarthritis (GHOA), to correct preoperative glenoid retroversion and to compare with cuff tear arthopaty (CTA) cases.
Methods: Fifty-nine patients who underwent RSA with GHOA or CTA diagnosis between 2013 and 2022 and who had pre- and postoperative computed tomography scans were included in the study. Preoperative glenoid version and postoperative glenoid component versions of 17 patients with GHOA and 40 patients with CTA were measured by Friedman method.

Background: Leptomeningeal carcinomatosis (LMC) is a rare type of cancer that settles at the meninges through metastasis of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), breast cancer and melanoma. The molecular mechanism underlying LMC is not known, therefore molecular studies investigating the development of LMC are needed. Here, we aimed to identify commonly mutated genes in LMC caused by NSCLC, breast cancer, and melanoma using an in-slico approach and their interactions using integrated bioinformatic approaches/tools in this meta-analysis.

Background: Peripheral compartment hip arthroscopy has gained popularity over central compartment hip arthroscopy as peripheral compartment arthroscopy does not cause perineal post compression, prolonged lower extremity traction and thus complications such as acetabular labrum and articular cartilage injuries. The study, in essence, aims to emphasize that peripheral hip arthroscopy (OPHA) alone is sufficient without an additional surgical method in the treatment of femoroacetabular impingement syndrome (FAI).
Methods: A total of 35 patients, being 21 female and 14 male, among a group of patients who were suffering from FAI syndrome and applied to private hip conservatory centers and has undergone hip arthroscopy at a later stage by a senior surgeon (I.
