The vasospasm, which develops after subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), is an unenlightened table in terms of etiology and results. It is usually associated with decreased perfusion, which is associated with decreased blood flow distal to the affected artery and can be demonstrated radiologically. Acetyl-L-carnitine (ALCAR) can be found in brain tissue and easily crosses the blood-brain barrier.

Comparison of the dentin tubule penetration of AH Plus, WellRoot ST, and MTA BioSeal after obturation, retreatment, and re-shaping of the root canals.

It was aimed to compare the dentine tubule penetration of AH Plus, MTA Bioseal, and WellRoot ST after filling, retreating, and reshaping the root canals by using a novel microscopic method. Seventy-five mandibular incisors with single root canals were shaped with Protaper Next system (PTN; X2-25/0.06) The teeth were obturated with AH Plus labeled with Rhodamin B and MTA Bioseal or WellRoot ST sealer which were labeled with Fluo-3.

Masseter muscle thickness and elasticity in periodontitis.

This study aimed to compare the thickness and elasticity of the masseter muscle between patients with gingivitis and patients with periodontitis. A total of 124 patients (63 gingivitis, 61 chronic periodontitis) were recruited at the start of the study, but only 84 patients were declared as final participants. Patients were divided into two groups: (1) patients suffering from gingivitis and (2) those with generalized chronic periodontitis.

Here, we have described a novel 46, XY complete gonadal dysgenesis syndrome caused by homozygous variants in PPP2R3C gene. This gene encodes B″gamma regulatory subunit of the protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A), which is a serine/threonine phosphatase involved in the phospho-regulation processes of most mammalian cell types.

Neoadjuvant hyperfractionated accelerated radiotherapy plus concomitant 5-fluorouracil infusion in locally advanced rectal cancer: A phase II study.

Aim: To evaluate the efficacy and tolerability of neoadjuvant hyperfractionated accelerated radiotherapy (HART) and concurrent chemotherapy in patients with locally advanced infraperitoneal rectal cancer.

Methods: A total of 30 patients with histopathologically confirmed T2-3/N0+ infraperitoneal adenocarcinoma of rectum cancer patients received preoperative 42 Gy/1.5 Gy/18 days/bid radiotherapy and continuous infusion of 5-fluorouracil (325 mg/m).

In this study, we aimed to evaluate the degree of AS severity on non-invasive pulse wave velocity (PWV) measurements. We also searched whether the AVR procedure favorably affects PWV.

Efficacy, safety and drug survival of conventional agents in pediatric psoriasis: A multicenter, cohort study.

The data on long-term efficacy, safety and drug survival rates of conventional systemic therapeutics in pediatric psoriasis is lacking. The primary aim of this study is to investigate acitretin, methotrexate, cyclosporin efficacy, safety and drug survival rates in pediatric patients as well as predictors of drug survival. This is a multicenter study including 289 pediatric cases being treated with acitretin, methotrexate and cyclosporin in four academic referral centers.

We compare helical tomotherapy (HT), linac-based intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), volumetric-modulated arc therapy (VMAT), and 3-D conformal radiotherapy (3D-CRT) techniques for T1N0 laryngeal cancer. However, there is a paucity of research on the influence of increased adiposity on the severity of paediatric psoriasis and disease progression. We aimed to compare the prevalence of being overweight or obese in paediatric psoriasis patients and controls and assess the potential impact of being overweight/obese on disease severity and progression of disease.

Morphometric characteristics of caudal cranial nerves at petroclival region in fetuses.

Morphometric measurements of cranial nerves in posterior cranial fossa of fetus cadavers were carried out in an attempt to identify any asymmetry in their openings into the cranium. Twenty-two fetus cadavers (8 females, 14 males) with gestational age ranging between 22 and 38 weeks (mean 30 weeks) were included in this study. Background: The addition of 6% hydroxyethyl starch (HES) into Ringer lactate priming solution may have adverse effects on hemostasis in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) with cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) with or without the use of tranexamic acid.

Methods: In a prospective, randomized clinical trial, 132 patients were assigned to receive 20 ml/kg of Ringer priming solution with or without tranexamic acid (TA) (Group RS-TA, n=34 and Group RS-noTA, n=32) or 10 ml/kg of 6% HES plus 10 ml/kg of RS priming solution with or without intravenous tranexamic acid (Group HES-TA, n=35 and Group HES-noTA, n=31). Estimated blood loss, chest tube drainage, amount of blood products, hemoglobin, hematocrit, platelet and coagulation parameters were examined before and 24 hour after surgery.
