Purpose: This research evaluates the effectiveness of the Spot Vision Screener (SVS) before and after cycloplegia to detect amblyogenic refractive errors in children.

Methods: Children ages 3 to 10 years old were screened by the SVS before and after cycloplegia. Sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative predictive value, paired t-test, Bland-Altman plot and receiver operating characteristic area under the curve were evaluated by comparing the results of the SVS (v3.

Acute lymphoblastic leukemias are the most common malignancies in childhood. Although its etiology is still unclear, it is thought that disorders in oxidative stress metabolism may contribute to leukemogenesis. Advanced glycation end products (AGEs) are formed as a result of the non-enzymatic binding of sugars to biomolecules.

This study explores the contact between anthropometric Z-score values and ocular parameters in children. Recent studies investigated the relationship, and contact between anthropometric measurements and ocular parameters in children, and height, weight, body mass index, and percentile curves are mostly used as anthropometric data. However, today, different scoring systems such as "Z-score" classify anthropometric values.

January 2023

United'Informatique et d'Ingenierie des Systemes, 52849ENSTA-ParisTech, Universite de Paris-Saclay, Villefranche Sur Mer, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'azur, France.

Purpose: The aim of the study is to improve the accuracy of age related macular degeneration (AMD) disease in its earlier phases with proposed Capsule Network (CapsNet) architecture trained on speckle noise reduced spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) images based on an optimized Bayesian non-local mean (OBNLM) filter augmentation techniques.

Methods: A total of 726 local SD-OCT images were collected and labelled as 159 drusen, 145 dry AMD, 156 wet AMD and 266 normal. Region of interest (ROI) was identified.

Background: The aim of our study is to evaluate whether the CURB-65 or expanded-CURB-65 score can be used in healthcare-associated pneumonia (HCAP) and subgroups of HCAP patients at the same efficiency. Thirty and 90-day mortality rates of the patients and predictive values of CURB-65 and E-CURB-65 scores were compared.

Patients And Methods: This is a retrospective study of patients who presented to the Emergency Department between January 2015 and January 2016.
