Background: Sacubitril/valsartan has been shown to reduce hospital admissions and even mortality for heart failure. In heart failure and acute coronary syndrome, the effects of sacubitril/valsartan have been studied, but the effect on coronary artery flow is not known.

Objective: We aimed to understand the effect of sacubitril/valsartan on coronary artery flow by using echocardiographic coronary flow reserve (CFR).

Improved Outcomes in Distal Tibial Non-Union: A Retrospective Study of 8 Patients Treated with Distal Tibial Nail and Screw Fixation.

BACKGROUND Non-union of distal tibia fractures is a challenge in orthopedic surgery and can be due to open fractures, osteopenia, infection, or failure of surgical devices. This retrospective study aimed to describe 8 patients with non-union of distal tibial fractures treated with distal tibial nail and screw fixation. MATERIAL AND METHODS According to the Gustilo-Anderson classification, 3 patients had type 2 open fractures, 1 had a type 3 open fracture, 1 had a type 1 open fracture, and 3 had closed fractures.

Posterior pericardial window: a simple and reproducible technique in order to prevent pericardial tamponade in paediatric cardiac surgery.

Objective: Pericardial tamponade, which increases postoperative mortality and morbidity, is still not uncommon after paediatric cardiac surgery. We considered that posterior pericardiotomy may be a useful and safe technique in order to reduce the incidence of early and late pericardial tamponade. Method: The Radiographs of 58 patients under 16 years old diagnosed with pediatric hip fractures between January 2012 and January 2020 were evaluated. The Effect of Combining Scleral Buckle Surgery with Pars Plana Vitrectomy for Treatment of Recurrent Retinal Detachment Secondary to Proliferative Vitreoretinopathy.

Objectives: The objectiove of the study is to evaluate and compare the outcomes of pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) and PPV combined with scleral buckle (SB) in vitrectomised cases with recurrent retinal detachment (RD) and to analyze the effects of adding SB to the procedure.

We aimed to interpret the effects of vaccination status, total number of vaccination doses and preferred vaccine type on the prognostic process of the patients we treated inpatients with the diagnosis of Covid-19 in our pandemic service. The present descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted in Ordu, Turkey.

Right Common Femoral Vein Invasion: A Unique Case of Inguinal Ectopic Breast Cancer.

Objectives: Ectopic breast cancer may present anywhere in the milk line, from the axilla to the groin which is extremely rare in the inguinal region. Despite morphologic differences, ectopic breast tissue presents characteristics related to orthotopic breast tissue in terms of function and pathologic degeneration. The case report describes the treatment of a unique ectopic breast carcinoma which was located in the inguinal region with a common femoral vein invasion.

The Effects of Zinc Pyrithione and Selenium Disulfide Shampoos on the Lesion-free Period After Treatment in Patients with Seborrheic Dermatitis.

Background: There are studies in the literature on zinc pyrithione and selenium disulfide containing shampoos for the treatment of seborrheic dermatitis, but we have not been able to find a study that clearly evaluates the duration of relapses.

Objective: This retrospective chart review investigated disease relapse times in patients with seborrheic dermatitis who achieved remission with treatment and continued maintenance therapy using zinc pyrithione or selenium disulfide containing shampoo.

Methods: Records from a total of 400 patients were reviewed, with 200 patients having used zinc pyrithione shampoo and 200 patients having used selenium disulfide shampoo.

Non-T-depleted haploidentical transplantation with post-transplant cyclophosphamide in patients with secondary versus de novo AML in first complete remission: a study from the ALWP/EBMT.

We compared outcomes of adult patients with secondary acute myeloid leukemia (sAML) versus de novo AML after non-T-depleted haploidentical stem cell transplant (HaploSCT) with post-transplant cyclophosphamide (PTCy). Comparison of central corneal thickness measurements using three different imaging devices.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare central corneal thickness (CCT) values and evaluate the agreement obtained with three different devices in healthy eyes.

Methods: A total of 120 eyes of 60 healthy individuals (36 men and 24 women) were enrolled in this retrospective study. CCT measurements were performed using an optical biometer (AL-Scan), spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) (Topcon 3D) and ultrasonic pachymetry (UP) (Accupach VI), and the results were compared.
