The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development sets out, through 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a path for the prosperity of people and the planet. SDG 3 in particular aims to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages and includes several targets to enhance health. This review presents a "headache-tailored" perspective on how to achieve SDG 3 by focusing on six specific actions: targeting chronic headaches; reducing the overuse of acute pain-relieving medications; promoting the education of healthcare professionals; granting access to medication in low- and middle-income countries (LMIC); implementing training and educational opportunities for healthcare professionals in low and middle income countries; building a global alliance against headache disorders.

The 2015 consensus statement published by the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) Perfusion Study Group and the European Cooperation in Science and Technology ( COST) Action ASL in Dementia aimed to encourage the implementation of robust arterial spin labeling (ASL) perfusion MRI for clinical applications and promote consistency across scanner types, sites, and studies. Subsequently, the recommended 3D pseudo-continuous ASL sequence has been implemented by most major MRI manufacturers. However, ASL remains a rapidly and widely developing field, leading inevitably to further divergence of the technique and its associated terminology, which could cause confusion and hamper research reproducibility.

Rare cases of paraneoplastic obesity in children suggest sporadic obesity might also arise from an adaptive immune cell-mediated mechanism. Since the hypothalamus is a central regulator of feeding behavior and energy expenditure, we quantified lymphocytic inflammation in this region in a cohort of obese and non-obese human post-mortem brains. We report that CD8-positive cytotoxic T-cells are increased in hypothalamic median eminence/arcuate nucleus (ME/Arc) and bed nucleus of the stria terminalis in 40% of obese compared to non-obese patients, but not in other hypothalamic nuclei or brain regions.

Background: ApoB-containing lipoproteins including low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) are necessary for the development of atherosclerosis, and lifelong exposure to low serum levels of LDL-C have been associated with a substantial reduction of cardiovascular risk. Although plaque regression has been observed in patients with serum LDL-C less than 70-80 mg/dl on lipid-lowering therapy, an LDL-C level under which atherosclerosis cannot develop has not been established.

Case Presentation: In this case we describe a 60-year-old man with well-controlled diabetes mellitus and hypertension who presented to the hospital after an acute stroke likely due to an atrial myxoma discovered on imaging.

The Shock Academic Research Consortium is a multi-stakeholder group, including representatives from the US Food and Drug Administration and other government agencies, industry, and payers, convened to develop pragmatic consensus definitions useful for the evaluation of clinical trials enrolling patients with cardiogenic shock, including trials evaluating mechanical circulatory support devices. Several in-person and virtual meetings were convened between 2020 and 2022 to discuss the need for developing the standardized definitions required for evaluation of mechanical circulatory support devices in clinical trials for cardiogenic shock patients.
