Background And Hypothesis: The Accelerating Medicines Partnership Schizophrenia (AMP SCZ) funds a longitudinal study of 43 research sites across 5 continents to develop tools to stratify developmental trajectories of youth at clinical high risk for psychosis (CHR) and identify homogenous targets for future clinical trials. However, there are no sites in Africa, leaving a critical gap in our knowledge of clinical and biological outcomes among CHR individuals.
Study Design: We describe the development of the Kenya Psychosis-Risk Outcomes Study (KePROS), a 5-year NIH-funded project in Kenya designed to harmonize with AMP SCZ.

Objective: Measuring the cost of performing breast imaging is difficult in healthcare systems. The purpose of our study was to evaluate this cost using time-driven activity-based costing (TDABC) and to evaluate cost drivers for different exams.
Methods: An IRB-approved, single-center prospective study was performed on 80 female patients presenting for breast screening, diagnostic or biopsy exams from July 2020 to April 2021.
Childhood mental health problems are common, impairing, and can become chronic if left untreated. Children are not reliable reporters of their emotional and behavioral health, and caregivers often unintentionally under- or over-report child symptoms, making assessment challenging. Objective physiological and behavioral measures of emotional and behavioral health are emerging.

The availability of labor analgesia is highly variable in the People's Republic of China. There are widespread misconceptions, by both parturients and health care providers, that labor epidural analgesia is harmful to mother and baby. Meanwhile, China has one of the highest cesarean delivery rates in the world, exceeding 50%.

Plasma cells have also been noted in hormonally mediated endometrial disorders in association with gland architectural changes ("disordered proliferative" and "anovulatory" patterns), and stromal breakdown. We reviewed benign endometrial biopsies diagnosed at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center over a 2-year period described as disordered/anovulatory patterns +/- stromal breakdown.

Pleiotrophin (PTN) is an 18-kDa heparin-binding secretory growth/differentiation factor for different cell types. Its gene is differentially expressed in both mesenchyme and central nervous system during development and highly expressed in a number of different human tumors. Recently, a PTN mutant was found to act as a dominant-negative effector of PTN signaling.
