Introduction And Importance: Cervical thymic cysts are rare benign lesions that rarely considered in the differential diagnosis of neck cysts in children. The correct diagnosis is often made after surgical excision and though determination of the specific histopathological findings of the thymic cyst.
Case Presentation: We report an observation of a cervical thymic cyst erroneously diagnosed preoperatively respectively as a cystic lymphangioma.

Cervical spondylotic myelopathy (CSM) and spinal cavernoma (SC) represent distinct yet challenging conditions. CSM manifests as progressive neurological dysfunction, whereas SC denotes a benign vascular lesion. The need for documented cases featuring CSM and SC highlights the absence of evidence-based management guidelines for such scenarios.

Aim: Myopericytoma (MPC) is a rare tumour characterized by a perivascular proliferation of pericytic cells with myoid differentiation and a typical spindle shape. Except for the rare malignant cases, MPC mostly shows a benign course. Symptoms are often non-specific, and the diagnosis could be accidental.

Objective: This study aimed to implement and evaluate a Deep Convolutional Neural Network for classifying myofibroblastic lesions into benign and malignant categories based on patch-based images.
Methods: A Residual Neural Network (ResNet50) model, pre-trained with weights from ImageNet, was fine-tuned to classify a cohort of 20 patients (11 benign and 9 malignant cases). Following annotation of tumor regions, the whole-slide images (WSIs) were fragmented into smaller patches (224 × 224 pixels).

Palisaded encapsulated neuroma (PEN), also known as solitary circumscribed neuroma, is a rare, benign tumor of neuronal origin, often located on the head or neck. We present a case involving a 77-year-old Middle Eastern woman with a slowly enlarging, slightly symptomatic lesion on her upper lip. Histopathological analysis following a shave biopsy revealed the lesion to be a PEN.

In this comprehensive review supported by clinical examples, the authors explore the topic of cervical cancer in pregnancy, with emphasis on potential pre-cancer progression, the possibility of coexisting preinvasive and invasive disease, and neoadjuvant chemotherapy. This manuscript addresses the challenges of managing cervical cancer in pregnant women with a pregnancy-preserving approach, including the importance of screening, the timing of surgery, and the impact of pregnancy on the course of the disease. The first case study illustrates the potential for a benign cervical lesion to transform into a malignant one during pregnancy and the possible coexistence of preinvasive lesions together with early-stage cervical cancer.

This study modifies the U-Net architecture for pixel-based segmentation to automatically classify lesions in laryngeal endoscopic images. The advanced U-Net incorporates five-level encoders and decoders, with an autoencoder layer to derive latent vectors representing the image characteristics. To enhance performance, a WGAN was implemented to address common issues such as mode collapse and gradient explosion found in traditional GANs.

Epithelioid osteoblastoma (EOB) is a rare, benign bone tumor characterized by the proliferation of atypical epithelioid osteoblasts within a vascular stroma. It typically presents as a slow-growing painful mass and requires careful differentiation from more aggressive lesions like osteosarcoma for appropriate management. We present a case of an otherwise healthy 30-year-old man who presented with a mandibular EOB measuring 23 cm × 17 cm x 19 cm, causing significant disfigurement and functional impairment.

Background: Giant cell reparative granulomas are nonneoplastic, benign lesions that can expand and dissolve bone. Fibrous dysplasia is a benign condition in which normal bone tissue is replaced by abnormally proliferating immature reticular bone and fibrous tissue. The combination of giant cell reparative granuloma and fibrous dysplasia is extremely rare and can pose diagnostic and therapeutic challenges because of the complexity of clinical presentation.

Introduction And Importance: Lymphangiomas are rare benign lymphatic malformations, typically affecting the head, neck, or axillary regions, with abdominal cystic lymphatic malformations (CLM) being particularly uncommon in adults. Abdominal CLM account for less than 5 % of all lymphangiomas and 7 % of all abdominal cystic lesions in adults with a prevalence of approximately 1 in 250,000. These lesions are commonly found by accident during imaging investigations and are asymptomatic.

Introduction Salivary gland lesions include a diverse range of histological types and biological behaviors, making accurate diagnosis and effective treatment challenging for specialists. Fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) plays a significant role in making preoperative diagnoses and further plans of surgery. In differentiating malignant from benign salivary gland tumors, the diagnostic accuracy of fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) is high.

Nodular fasciitis is a benign, singularly occurring nodular fibroblastic/myofibroblastic neoplasia. Due to the rapid growth and cellular atypia, this rare differential diagnosis in the head and neck region can be mistaken for malignant sarcomas. We present a 40-year-old female patient with an unclear, rough, and poorly displaceable supraclavicular swelling on the right as part of a medical check-up.
