Unlabelled:                                                                  Abstract Background: Few studies have addressed the effects of biological therapies on laboratory outcomes and changes in FEV1 in patients with severe asthma (SA) and chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS). We aimed to study the effect of three biological therapies on laboratory outcomes and FEV1 in Saudi Arabian patients with SA and CRS.

Methods: From March to September 2022, a retrospective observational cohort study was undertaken at the severe asthma clinics of the Armed Forces Hospital-Southern Region (AFHSR) and King Khalid University Hospital, Abha, Saudi Arabia, to delineate the effects of 3 biological therapies (benralizumab, dupilumab, and omalizumab) in adults with SA and concomitant CRS in terms of FEV1 and laboratory parameters (serum IgE and eosinophilic counts).

Background: This study's purposes were to evaluate the impact of biological therapies on outcomes in patients with severe asthma (SA) and chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) and to compare these effects among those with NP (CRSwNP) versus those without NP (CRSsNP) in the "real-world" setting in Saudi Arabian patients.

Methods: From March to September 2022, a retrospective observational cohort study was undertaken at the severe asthma clinics of the Armed Forces Hospital-Southern Region (AFHSR) and King Khalid University Hospital, Abha, Saudi Arabia, to delineate the effects of dupilumab therapy. Outcomes were assessed, including clinical outcomes, FEV1, and laboratory findings before and one year after dupilumab.

Background And Methodology: We aimed to investigate the clinical characteristics, outcomes, and mortality predictors in patients with acute pulmonary embolism (PE). Adult patients who were admitted to the Armed Forces Hospital Southern Region, Khamis Mushait, a large tertiary hospital in Southern Saudi Arabia, with the diagnosis of acute PE were retrospectively examined for the predictors of one-year mortality.

Results: The overall in-hospital mortality was 15.

The mandibular premolars can pose a significant challenge in root canal treatment due to their complex canal system. This study investigated the prevalence of multiple roots and complex canal morphology of mandibular premolars in a selected Egyptian sub-population using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). 283 CBCT scans (131 males, 152 females, age 18-70) included 1132 mandibular premolars (566 first, and 566 second premolars) were viewed for incidences ofvariation in root numbers and canal configuration according to Vertucci's classification.

Background: Spontaneous third ventriculostomy (STV) is a rare occurrence in cases of obstructive hydrocephalus where the walls of the third ventricle rupture, communicating the ventricular system, and the subarachnoid space leading to arrest of active hydrocephalus. We aim to review our series of STVs while reviewing previous reports.

Methods: A retrospective review of cases undergoing cine phase-contrast magnetic resonance imaging (PC-MRI) from 2015 to 2022 of any age with imaging evidence of arrested obstructive hydrocephalus was performed.

There seem to currently be no therapeutic medications found for the severe coronavirus infection in 2019 (COVID-19). In light of this, it has been hypothesized that the immunomodulatory treatment known as tocilizumab can lessen the inflammatory response that occurs in the respiratory system, speed up the process of clinical benefit, lower the risk of death, and avert the need for ventilators. This randomized controlled trial (RCT) studied patients with a proven infection of SARS-CoV-2 and hyperinflammatory reactions.

Background: Actinomycetes show an active role in microbial disease control and antimicrobial metabolism production and were shown the greatest potentialities as sources of antimicrobial agents. The past few decades, an extensive literature has accumulated on the production of bioactive compounds from actinomycetes, particularily genus Streptomyces.

Methods: The actinomycetes were isolated with starch casein nitrate (SCN) agar medium.

The association of bilharziasis with membranous nephropathy (MN) has long been debated. The relatively recent use of antibodies against the M-type phospholipase A2 receptor (PLA2R) has been proposed as a valuable tool to discriminate the idiopathic from secondary MNs. Anti-PLA2R antibodies are found in sera from about 70% of iMN patients, in contrast to patients with secondary MN, in whom serum anti-PLA2R antibodies could not be detected.

Division of Drug Design and Medicinal Chemistry Research Lab, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Ahalia School of Pharmacy, Palakkad, India.

Heat shock protein 90 (Hsp90) is a validated molecular chaperone considered as the new key recipient for cancer intervention. The current study illustrates the synthesis of novel spirooxindole-dihydropyrimidinones (4a-j) by Fe O nanoparticles intervened synthesis and their Hsp90 ATPase inhibitory activity was investigated by the malachite green assay. All the compounds in the study demonstrated a moderate to potent ATPase inhibitory profile, with IC values ranging from 0.
