Article Synopsis
  • The study analyzed urodynamic parameters in 76 patients who underwent continent cutaneous urinary diversion using the Mitrofanoff principle and the Yang-Monti procedure, focusing on how well the stoma functioned over at least 6 months post-operation.
  • Results showed a high continence rate of 87%, with 66 patients classified as continent and 10 as incontinent, highlighting significant differences in their pressures and conduit lengths.
  • The evaluation revealed that in both groups, the pressures remained low during resting and contractions, but the continent group had better closure pressures and longer functional conduits compared to the incontinent group.
