In this article, we were interested in peculiar presentation of the thinning of both parietal bones (biparietal osteodystrophy).

Hyperostosis frontalis interna (HFI) represents irregular thickening of the endocranial surface of the frontal bone, mostly seen in postmenopausal females. The microarchitecture of this condition is poorly studied. The aim of this cross-sectional autopsy study was to investigate and compare microarchitectural structure of the frontal bone affected with HFI in both sexes and to test whether HFI severity could be distinguished at the microarchitectural level.

Aim: From a medico-legal and penalty point of view, it is essential to conclude if an individual is a minor or an adult (18 years of age). Methods based on the third molar development have been used for this purpose. The present article aims to verify the Nolla's stages of mineralization of the third molars and a third molar maturity index (I) which is based on the measures of the projections of open apices normalized by their height in the sample of Montenegrins.

Obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) is one of the most common sleep disorders in elderly and represents a special problem for elderly patients. Elderly patients use a large number of drugs that might have an influence on the upper airway structure, anxiolytics or benzodiazepines being the most common. Four different membranes were used in conjunction with porous calcium phosphate granules to treat grade II furcations in lower molars of 6 dogs. Six months later block sections were used to measure the amount of regeneration and inflammation. The 4 membranes (polycarbonate, silicone rubber, polytetrafluoroethylene, and polycaprolactone) all gave similar improvements in bone fill ranging from 1.

After adequate presurgical preparation and pertinent clinical measurements, the areas were treated with full thickness flaps and thorough debridement and scaling and planing of the root surfaces. One of the defects was randomly selected to be covered with Gore-Tex periodontal material, held in place by sling sutures of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene.
