Retrospective data collection methods provide a practical and cost-effective alternative to traditional longitudinal studies, particularly when time and resource constraints hinder long-term follow-up. While conventional retrospective questionnaires are widely used, their susceptibility to recall errors often compromises data reliability and accuracy. The Life History Calendar (LHC) has emerged as a solution to these limitations by incorporating visual prompts and contextual cues to enhance recall and improve data quality.

The clinically important link between low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) lowering and cardiovascular (CV) risk reduction is well-established and reflected in the 2019 European Society of Cardiology/European Atherosclerosis Society guidelines for the management of dyslipidaemia. They recommend a stepwise approach to reaching LDL-C goals, beginning with statin monotherapy at the highest tolerated dose. However, real-world data shows a large gap between guideline LDL-C goal recommendations and their achievement in clinical practice.

The diversity within the ectomycorrhizal genus Russula (Basidiomycota) in West Africa is largely unexplored. The study area was Benin, where only ten out of the 159 species endemic to tropical Africa have been previously reported. We focused on "", which is a monophyletic lineage within Russulasubgen.

Foliicolous lichens grow on living leaves of vascular plants. They are mostly found in tropical to subtropical or temperate rainforests. Many phenotype-based species are considered as pantropical or even sub-cosmopolitan, either attributed to old ages, having existed prior to continental breakups or long-distance dispersal.

Weather and Climate Information Services developed for agriculture often only provide scientific weather and climate forecasts on various timescales. Yet, local forecasts derived from indigenous knowledge and soil moisture information are still missing. In this study, we evaluate the implementation of the DROP app, a hydroclimate information service, offering both local (LF) and scientific rainfall forecasts (SF) and soil moisture forecasts, that was designed with and for smallholder farmers working on rainfed agriculture in northern Ghana.

Integrating nanostructured catalysts with semiconductors is a prevalent strategy for the design of photoelectrochemical (PEC) photocathodes toward CO reduction reaction (CORR). However, it is still a challenge to achieve high efficiency and selectivity due to the incompatible catalyst/semiconductor heterogeneous interface. Here, it is proposed that engineering oxygen vacancy in the TiO interlayer plays a multifunctional role in boosting the PEC activity and selectivity for the CORR on a Bi catalyst modified Si photocathode (denoted as Si/dT/Bi).
