Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients are characterized by distant metastasis and poor prognosis. Growing evidence has implied that circular RNAs (circRNAs) are involved in multiple tumor progression, including NSCLC. The objective of the present study was to functionally dissect the role and mechanism of circ_BLNK in NSCLC development and progression.

We aimed to estimate the incidence, mortality, disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in 204 countries and territories. We examined the variations in these trends by country, gender, age group, and sociodemographic index (SDI). We calculated the estimated annual percentage changes (EAPCs) to assess temporal trends in the age-standardized incidence rate, age-standardized mortality rate, and age-standardized DALYs of COPD from 1990 to 2019.

Epidemiological Trends in Alopecia Areata at the Global, Regional, and National Levels.

Front Immunol

August 2022

Department of Anesthesiology, Ningbo Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ningbo, China.

Background: No comprehensive studies have been published on the global burden of alopecia areata since 2010.

Objective: We aimed to measure the global, regional, and national incidence of alopecia areata and disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs) by age, sex, and socio-demographic index (SDI) value from 1990 to 2019.

Methods: Data were extracted from the Global Burden of Disease Study 2019.

Introduction And Objectives: Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are identified to show important regulatory functions in cancer biology. We attempted to analyze the role of circ_0000291 in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) progression and its related mechanism.

Methods: The circular characteristic of circ_0000291 was tested using exonuclease RNase R.

A considerable amount of people succumbs to lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) due to its high incidence and mortality. This study attempted to reveal the impacts of GOLM1 on LUAD. This work analyzed GOLM1 expression in LUAD and normal tissue and studied its prognostic value utilizing data from The Cancer Genome Atlas.

microRNA-342-3p plays an important role in tumor occurrence and development. However, the expression pattern and roles of microRNA-342-3p in nonsmall cell lung cancer remain poorly understood. In the current study, we explored the roles and underlying mechanisms of microRNA-342-3p in nonsmall cell lung cancer via gain- and loss-of-function analyses.

Purpose: Lung cancer is one of the most prevailing human cancers worldwide. Emerging evidence implies that long non-coding RNA nicotinamide nucleotide transhydrogenase-antisense RNA1 (NNT-AS1) is implicated in the tumorigenesis of lung cancer. Herein, we aimed to expose the impact of NNT-AS1 on the drug resistance of lung cancer.
