Background: Metabolic risk factors in primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) have not been well described in China. Additionally, it is unclear whether these factors have an impact on the prognosis of PBC patients. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the prevalence of main metabolic risk factors in PBC, and to evaluate their prognostic values for liver-related outcomes.

Prognostic significance of globulin/low-density lipoprotein ratio in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma after local ablative therapy: a retrospective cohort study.

Background: Low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and globulin (GLOB) have been found to be predictors for some malignant tumors, but their predictive value in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has hardly been elucidated. Methods: This study analyzed 312 early-stage HCC patients who were hospitalized and underwent ablative treatment in Beijing You'an Hospital, Capital Medical University, from 1 January 2014 to 1 January 2019.

EC is an immune gene disease and many studies have shown that the tumor-immunosuppressive microenvironment plays an important role in cancer progression.

Hydrogen sulfide (HS) is a multifunctional gaseous signaling molecule that plays a vital role in several biological processes. In the present study, a BODIPY-based fluorescent probe called 8-[4-((1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane)methyl)phenyl]-4,4-difluoro-1,3,5,7-tetramethyl-4-bora-3a, 4a-diaza-s-indacene (BA-Cyclen)-Cu was designed and synthesized; this probe is a Cu(Ⅱ) complex that uses Cu(Ⅱ) decomplexation to achieve the sensitive and rapid detection of aqueous HS via the "turn-on" mode. We observed that BA-Cyclen-Cu exhibited good membrane permeability, low toxicity, and lysosome-targeting ability, facilitating HS detection in living cells.

Effectiveness and safety of community-led assisted partner service among HIV-diagnosed men who have sex with men: a multicentre, randomized controlled trial in China.
