Methods: A systematic literature search was performed from 1950 to October 2019 for randomized controlled trials comparing the use of intratympanic, systemic, and combined steroid therapy for SSHL.

Purpose: Final global disability 3 months post-stroke is the cardinal endpoint in acute stroke clinical trials. The most similar variable available in administrative datasets is discharge destination at end of the acute hospitalization.
