Background: Recent studies have elucidated the instrumental role of microRNAs (miRNAs) in neuropathic pain (NP) progression. As one member of miRNAs, miR-130a-3p has been proved as a mediator in inflammation and neuronal maturation. The present study attempted to elucidate what effect miR-130a-3p exerts on NP.

Urinary metabolomics combined with histological progression were utilized to evaluate the therapeutic effect of Scutellariae Radix decoction and baicalin on hepatic fibrosis (HF) and explore their mechanisms, intervention targets and metabolic pathways. HF rat model was established through subcutaneous injection of CCl₄ for 8 weeks. Meanwhile, different doses of Scutellariae Radix decoction and baicalin were administered.

Study on pharmacodynamic material basis of traditional Chinese medicines is one of the key issues for the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine. Having introduced the monoclonal antibody technology into the study on pharmacodynamic material basis of traditional Chinese medicines, the author prepared the immunoaffinity chromatography column by using monoclonal antibodies in active components of traditional Chinese medicines, so as to selectively knock out the component from herbs or traditional Chinese medicine compounds, while preserving all of the other components and keeping their amount and ratio unchanged. A comparative study on pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics was made to explicitly reveal the correlation between the component and the main purpose of traditional Chinese medicines and compounds.

Objective: To observe the features of bronchopulmonary lesions in ulcerative colitis (UC) rats and the specificity with Fei and Dachang, thus providing reliance for the theory of "intestinal diseases involved Fei".
Methods: The UC rat model was duplicated by using rabbit intestine mucosa tissue allergenic model and TNBS-ethanol model. A normal rat group was set up as the control.

Objective: To explore the correlation between the cognitive functions and syndromes of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in amnestic mild cognitive impairment (aMCI), and to provide evidence for clinical syndrome differentiation treatment.
Methods: Six hundred subjects from Dongzhimen Hospital and seven communities in Beijing, aged between 40 and 85 years, accepted neuropsychological assessments, imaging and biochemical examinations, and syndrome differentiation, from whom 159 aMCI patients, 213 normal control (NC) subjects and 171 Alzheimer's dementia (AD) patients were screened out. Correlation between the cognitive functions and TCM syndromes in aMCI patients was analyzed.

Aim: To observe protein expression changes of alpha-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazolepropionic acid (AMPA) receptor and related regulatory protein in the hippocampus and amygdala in chronic immobilization stressed rat and Xiaoyaosan's regulatory effect.
Methods: Rats were tied 3 h per day to establish immobilization stress condition and treatment with Xiaoyaosan. After 7 days and 21 days stress, the protein expression of AMPA receptor subunit (GluR2/3), N-ethylmaleimide sensitive factor (NSF) and protein interacting with C-kinase 1 (PICK1) in hippocampus and amygdala were detected by using Western blot techniques.
