Background: Risk factors and mechanisms of cognitive impairment (CI) after aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH) are unclear. This study used a neuropsychological battery, MRI, ERP and CSF and plasma biomarkers to predict long-term cognitive impairment after aSAH.
Materials And Methods: 214 patients hospitalized with aSAH (n = 125) or unruptured intracranial aneurysms (UIA) (n = 89) were included in this prospective cohort study.

Outcome data, including postoperative mortality and morbidity, operative details, all-cause survival, freedom from aortic-related survival and freedom from aortic-related re-intervention, were independently extracted by two authors in a standardized way.

Context: This study systematically investigated the effects of single S-atom vacancy defects and composite defects (vacancy combined with doping) on the properties of MoS using density functional theory. The results revealed that N-doped S-vacancy MoS has the smallest composite defect formation energy, indicating its highest stability. In this study, employing a simple anion exchange strategy and straightforward three-step synthetic route, a pair of promising nitrogen-rich heterocyclic cation and oxygen-rich anion were assembled together to generate two novel dinitramide energetic salts, both of which exhibit prominent detonation performance comparable to benchmark explosive RDX while possessing significantly lower mechanical sensitivity than RDX, thereby highlighting them as promising candidates for advanced secondary explosives. This work has directly led to a practical protocol for the design of chloride-free environmentally friendly IEMs, and accelerates the development of organic explosives with high-energy and low-sensitivity.

Background: Few studies reported the long-term clinical outcomes and joint degeneration of patients with chronic lateral ankle instability (CLAI) and small osteochondral lesions of the talus (OLTs) following simultaneous open modified Broström-Gould (MBG) surgery and arthroscopic bone marrow stimulation (BMS). The purpose of this study was to study the long-term results of patients after BMS and BMG surgery, and to further evaluate the potential effect of OLT size on postoperative results.
Methods: In this retrospective study, 110 CLAI patients were divided into 57 patients with OLTs (including 24 patients having combined small osteochondral lesions of the tibial plafond) receiving simultaneous BMS and MBG surgeries (BMS+MBG group), and 53 patients without OLTs receiving isolated open MBG surgery (MBG group).

Here, integrating with ultrasmall FeC nanoclusters, asymmetric coordination featuring Janus Zn-Fe dual-atom sites with an ON-Fe-Zn-N moiety embedded in a carbon vacancy-engineered hollow nanobox (Janus ZnFe DAs-FeC) was elaborately developed. Theoretical calculation revealed that the synergistic effects of Zn centers acting as both adsorption and active sites, oxygen-heteroatom doping, carbon vacancy, and FeC nanoclusters jointly downshifted the d-band center of Fe 3d orbitals, optimizing the desorption behaviors of intermediates *OH, thereby significantly promoting catalytic activity.
