Global Research Trends on Ventricular Remodeling: A Bibliometric Analysis From 2012 to 2022.

Ventricular remodeling is the progressive pathologic change of the original substance and morphology of the ventricle caused by various injuries and has attracted increasing attention in the past decade. This study aims to conduct a bibliometric analysis of articles on ventricular remodeling published in the Web of Science Core Collection database from 2012 to 2022 to understand the current research state in the field of ventricular remodeling and provide insights for clinicians and researchers. As a result, a total of 1710 articles on ventricular remodeling were included.

Association of occlusion time with successful endovascular recanalization in patients with symptomatic chronic intracranial total occlusion.

Objective: Endovascular treatment is one of the choices for symptomatic chronic intracranial total occlusion (CITO); however, its safety and efficacy remain unclear. The present study was performed to evaluate the safety and long-term outcome of endovascular treatment for CITO at a high-volume stroke center.

Methods: Data about patients with symptomatic CITO who received endovascular treatment were retrospectively collected.

Initial experiences with preoperative three-dimensional image reconstruction technology in laparoscopic pyeloplasty for ureteropelvic junction obstruction.

Background: To explore the clinical value of three-dimensional image reconstruction technology (3DIT) on preoperative surgical planning and perioperative outcomes in laparoscopic pyeloplasty (LP).

Methods: Data of 25 patients with ureteropelvic junction obstruction (UPJO) admitted to our hospital from January 2018 to January 2019 was analyzed retrospectively. All patients underwent preoperative enhanced computed tomography (CT) scanning.

A ureteral stricture disease score and classification system: correlation with upper urinary tract reconstructive surgery complexity.

Background: To develop an original and standardized ureteral stricture disease (USD) score and classification system for quantifying ureter stricture characteristics, assessing complexity of the minimally invasive upper urinary tract reconstructive (UUTR) surgical procedure, formulating preoperative plans, and offering objective comparisons of surgical techniques between different institutions and surgeons.

Methods: We retrospectively reviewed a test set of 64 patients and a validation set of 170 patients who underwent minimally invasive UUTR surgery from January 2018 to January 2021. Three factors were selected to be included in the USD score and classification system: (I) stricture etiology (E, 1-2 points); (II) stricture segment (S, 0-3 points); and (III) length of stricture (L, 1-5 points).

Methods: We collected 36 patients who underwent laparoscopic UUTRs between April 2019 and March 2020, and we divided the patients into two groups based on the use of ICG (ICG group and non-ICG group). Laparoscopic and robotic ureteroplasty using onlay flap or graft for the management of long proximal or middle ureteral strictures: our experience and strategy.

Purpose: To present our experience of laparoscopic and robotic ureteroplasty using onlay flap or graft for the management of long proximal or middle ureteral strictures and summarize our treatment strategies for these challenging scenarios.

Methods: From March 2018 to January 2020, 53 patients with long proximal/middle ureteral strictures (2-6 cm) who underwent laparoscopic or robotic onlay flap/graft ureteroplasty were retrospectively enrolled. Different reconstruction techniques were chosen based on our management strategy: pelvic flap (PF) was the first choice for proximal stricture if pelvic tissue was sufficient for repair, while appendiceal flap (AF) was preferred over oral mucosa graft for both proximal and middle strictures.

Association between Prediabetes and Renal Dysfunction from a Community-based Prospective Study.

Our study aimed to evaluate the association between prediabetes and renal dysfunction, and further assess which of glycemic indices of fasting plasma glucose (FPG), postprandial plasma glucose (PPG) and hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) has a higher risk of renal dysfunction. This was a community-based prospective cohort study, which included 7015 participants from Beijing and Taian between May and October in 2015. The outcome was the renal dysfunction defined as estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR)<60 mL/min/1.

Cerebral Hemodynamic Changes After Endovascular Recanalization of Symptomatic Chronic Intracranial Artery Occlusion.

We performed this study to evaluate the hemodynamic changes over time after successful endovascular recanalization in patients with symptomatic chronic intracranial artery occlusion (CIAO). We included 20 patients with symptomatic CIAO in a high-volume stroke center from June 2014 to June 2019. All subjects were evaluated with CT perfusion (CTP) studies before and after the recanalization.

Appendiceal Onlay Flap Ureteroplasty for the Treatment of Complex Ureteral Strictures: Initial Experience of Nine Patients.

To evaluate the onlay technique using the appendix for ureteral reconstruction and describe the initial experience of nine operations performed by one surgeon. Nine patients with complex ureteral strictures who underwent appendiceal onlay flap ureteroplasty since May 2019 were recruited from our RECUTTER database. There were seven men and two women, with a mean age of 38.
