Vitiligo is a common chronic skin depigmentation disorder that seriously decreases the patients' overall quality of life. Human blood metabolites could contribute to unraveling the underlying biological mechanisms of vitiligo. We used GWAS summary statistics to assess the causal association between genetically predicted 1,400 serum metabolites and vitiligo risk by Mendelian randomization (MR).

Abnormal functional hubs in migraine patients: a resting-state MRI analysis about voxel-wise degree centrality.

The purpose was to explore the spatial centrality of the whole brain functional network related to migraine and to investigate the potential functional hubs associated with migraine. 32 migraine patients and 55 healthy controls were recruited and they received resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging voluntarily. Voxel-wise Degree Centrality (DC) was measured across the whole brain, and group differences in DC were compared.

Background: Dural arteriovenous fistulas (DAVFs) pose a significant health threat owing to their high misdiagnosis rate. Case reports suggest that DAVFs or related acute events may follow medication use; however, drug-related risk factors remain unclear. In clinical practice, the concomitant use of multiple drugs for therapy is known as "polypharmacy situations," further increasing the risk of drug-induced DAVF.

These cytokines utilize shared subunits to influence T-cell activation and differentiation, thereby regulating the balance of T-cell subsets, which profoundly impacts the onset and progression of autoimmune diseases.

Materials And Methods: This study retrospectively analyzed the demographic data, clinical symptoms, and ultrasonic characteristics of 141 patients diagnosed with CNGM through pathological examination. This study was approved by the Medical Ethical Committee of Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine (2023BL02-054-01).

Methods: A total of 518 patients with T2DM who underwent coronary angiography (CAG) were included and categorized into either the T2DM group or the T2DM combined with CHD group based on the angiographic findings.

Through a review of existing studies, we revealed that certain neuroendocrine hormones and neurotransmitters are involved in the neuroimmune interactions related to both PsA and depression.

A case of adult-onset X-linked lymphoproliferative disease mimicking pulmonary infection.

X-linked lymphoproliferative disease (XLP) is a rare primary immunodeficiency with susceptibility and vulnerability to Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection. Most patients were diagnosed in early childhood and do not survive into adulthood. Here we reported an adult-onset XLP patient presenting with fever, dyspnea, and pulmonary nodules, mimicking respiratory infection at disease onset.

[Observation on the clinical effect of He's fire needle therapy combined with walnut-shell moxibustion on perimenopausal dry eye disease].

Objectives: To observe the clinical effect on perimenopausal dry eye disease treated with He's fire needle therapy combined with walnut-shell moxibustion.

Methods: A total of 60 patients with perimenopausal dry eye disease were randomized into an observation group (30 cases) and a control group (30 cases). In the observation group, the pricking technique with fire needle was operated at bilateral Naokong (GB19), Feishu (BL13), Xinshu (BL15), Ganshu (BL18), Pishu (BL20), Shenshu (BL23), 3 times a week, for 4 weeks, and the walnut-shell moxibustion was combined, 30 minutes each time, 3 times a week, for 4 weeks.

Subsequent research endeavors involving a more extensive cohort and extended observation periods are warranted to evaluate the effectiveness and safety profile of the intervention.
