Background: Ainuovirine (ANV) is a new non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NNRTI), which was initially synthesized in Korea and later further developed in both Korea and China.

Methods: A randomized, double-blind, double-dummy, positive parallel group, non-inferiority, phase 3 trial was conducted in 7 sites across China. Eligible HIV-1-positive antiretroviral therapy (ART)-naïve adults aged 18-65 years were randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to receive tenofovir disoproxil fumarate and lamivudine (TDF+3TC) in combination with either ANV (ANV group) or efavirenz (EFV group) for up to 48 weeks.

Prolonged Viral Shedding in Three Young Adult Cases of COVID-19.

Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 infection is usually self-limited, with a short duration for viral shedding within several weeks. However, prolonged viral shedding has been observed in severe or immune-compromised coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases. Here, we reported that three young adult cases of COVID-19 patients, who were either immunosuppressed nor severe, showed prolonged viral RNA shedding from the upper respiratory tract for 58, 81, and 137 days since initial diagnosis.

Serological Responses after a Fourth Dose of SARS-CoV-2 Vaccine in Solid Organ Transplant Recipients: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.

The humoral immune response and safety of the fourth dose of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccine in solid organ transplant (SOT) recipients need to be fully elucidated. We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to assess the efficacy and safety associated with this additional dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in the SOT recipients. A comprehensive search was conducted to identify studies on SOT patients without prior natural SARS-CoV-2 infection who received the fourth dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

We used the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), Genotype-Tissue Expression (GTEx), Human Protein Atlas (HPA), and UALCAN to analyze NCAPD2 expression and promoter methylation levels in 33 tumors and normal samples.

The association between the CD4/CD8 ratio and surgical site infection risk among HIV-positive adults: insights from a China hospital.

Purpose: It is well known that the CD4/CD8 ratio is a special immune-inflammation marker. We aimed to explore the relationship between the CD4/CD8 ratio and the risk of surgical site infections (SSI) among human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-positive adults undergoing orthopedic surgery.

Methods: We collected and analyzed data from 216 HIV-positive patients diagnosed with fractures at the department of orthopedics, Beijing Ditan Hospital between 2011 and 2019.

Methods: We did this randomised, double-blind, active-controlled, phase 3, non-inferiority trial at 46 outpatient centres in China, Dominican Republic, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, and the USA.

Patients with chronic hepatitis B with hepatic fibrosis and blood stasis syndrome were selected as the research subjects and randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group. Entecavir plus Biejiajian pills or entecavir plus a simulant of Biejiajian pills were given for 48 weeks.
