Background: Breast cancer, which is the most prevalent form of cancer among women globally, encompasses various subtypes that demand distinct treatment approaches. The tumor microenvironment and immune response are of crucial significance in the development and progression of breast cancer. Nevertheless, there has been scant evidence concerning the genes within breast cancer - specific immune cells.

GW117 functions as both an MT1/MT2 receptor agonist and a 5-HT2C receptor antagonist. This study aimed to investigate the anxiolytic effects of GW117 through behavioral assessments, including the open field test and novelty-suppressed feeding test (NSFT) within a chronic unpredictable mild stress (CUMS) model. GW117 was administered via oral gavage for 21 days to evaluate its sustained anxiolytic effects, with behavioral tests including the NSFT, the Vogel-conflict test, and the O-maze test.

Endometrial cancer is a common tumor of the female reproductive system. In recent years, as the age of onset of the disease has gradually become younger, this has caused distress to some young patients with reproductive needs, and the active search for methods of preserving reproductive function has gradually attracted attention. In this paper, we will systematize the current status of progestin-based pharmacotherapy in combination with other drug therapies in the conservative management of early-stage endometrial cancer.

Metabolic alterations, a hallmark of cancer, enable tumor cells to adapt to their environment by modulating glucose, lipid, and amino acid metabolism, which fuels rapid growth and contributes to treatment resistance. In primary breast cancer, metabolic shifts such as the Warburg effect and enhanced lipid synthesis are closely linked to chemotherapy failure. Similarly, metastatic lesions often display distinct metabolic profiles that not only sustain tumor growth but also confer resistance to targeted therapies and immunotherapies.

Background: Vascular calcification is a crucial pathophysiological process associated with age-related cardiovascular diseases. Elabela, a recently identified peptide, has emerged as a significant player in the regulation of cardiovascular function and homeostasis. However, the effects and underlying mechanisms of Elabela on age-related vascular calcification remain largely unexplored.

Background: The effect of embolization of the middle meningeal artery in patients with subacute or chronic subdural hematoma is uncertain.
Methods: We performed a multicenter, open-label, randomized trial in China, involving patients with symptomatic nonacute subdural hematoma with mass effect. Patients were assigned to undergo burr-hole drainage or receive nonsurgical treatment at the surgeon's discretion, and patients in each group were then randomly assigned, in a 1:1 ratio, to undergo middle meningeal artery embolization with liquid embolic material or to receive usual care.

Purpose: Sepsis is a life-threatening condition associated with acute organ dysfunction. Iron is an essential trace element for multicellular organisms and almost all microorganisms, and its role in sepsis has been increasingly recognized. The aim of this study was to investigate the changes in iron metabolism in caecal ligation and puncture solution (CLP) -induced septic mice and the effects of hepcidin pretreatment on serum inflammatory marker levels and liver iron metabolism in CLP-induced septic mice.
