Despite great efforts made in recent years, globally cardiovascular disease (CVD) remains the most common and devastating disease. Pharmacological, interventional and surgical treatments have proved to be only partly satisfactory for the majority of patients. A major underlying cause of poor prognosis is a high comorbidity rate between CVD and mental illness, which calls for the approaches of psychocardiology.

CRISPR/Cas9 Delivery Mediated with Hydroxyl-Rich Nanosystems for Gene Editing in Aorta.

A CRISPR/Cas9 system has emerged as a powerful tool for gene editing to treat genetic mutation related diseases. Due to the complete endothelial barrier, effective delivery of the CRISPR/Cas9 system to vasculatures remains a challenge for in vivo gene editing of genetic vascular diseases especially in aorta. Herein, it is reported that CHO-PGEA (cholesterol (CHO)-terminated ethanolamine-aminated poly(glycidyl methacrylate)) with rich hydroxyl groups can deliver a plasmid based pCas9-sg1 system for the knockout of exon 10 in 1 gene.

[Effect of modified Zhengqi Powder in treating chronic gastritis and on patients' life quality and inflammatory factors].

Chronic gastritis is a kind of chronic gastric mucosal inflammation caused by many factors.Intestinal metaplasia refers to the transformation of gastric mucosal epithelial cells into small/large intestinal mucosal epithelium containing Panette or goblet cells.Chronic gastritis has the highest incidence among stomach diseases,while intestinal metaplasia is the serious manifestation of chronic gastritis.

Value of the frontal planar QRS-T angle on cardiac dysfunction in patients with old myocardial infarction.

Objectives: To explore a method of surface electrocardiogram for assessing cardiac dysfunction in patients with old myocardial infarction.

Methods: 1000 patients with old myocardial infarction in Anzhen hospital were analyzed retrospectively. The planar QRS-T angle was calculated automatically according to QRS-wave and T-wave vectors by the electrocardiogram machine.

Background: To explore an optimal management of perioperative anticoagulation for patients with long-term warfarin therapy after valve replacement during the perioperative of pacemaker implantation.

Methods: We retrospectively reviewed consecutive patients undergoing pacemaker implantation who received long-term warfarin therapy after valve replacements at our hospital. They were divided into 3 groups: discontinued group, bridging group and continued group.
