Interfacial hydrogen bonds are pivotal in enhancing proton activity and accelerating the kinetics of proton-coupled electron transfer during electrocatalytic oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). Here we propose a novel FeCr bimetallic atomic sites catalyst supported on a honeycomb-like porous carbon layer, designed to optimize the microenvironment for efficient electrocatalytic ORR through the induction of interfacial hydrogen bonds. Characterizations, including X-ray absorption spectroscopy and in situ infrared spectroscopy, disclose the rearrangement of delocalized electrons due to the formation of FeCr sites, which facilitates the dissociation of interfacial water molecules and the subsequent formation of hydrogen bonds.

Programmed cell death (PCD), comprising apoptosis, autophagy, ferroptosis, pyroptosis, and necroptosis, represents a spectrum of cell demise processes intricately governed by genetic mechanisms in vivo. Under physiological conditions, PCD facilitates the turnover of cellular populations and serves as a protective mechanism to eliminate impaired podocytes or tubular epithelial cells, thereby preserving renal tissue homeostasis amidst hyperglycemic stress.

ZnO nanoparticles with high safety and stability are often used as active ingredients in sunscreens to protect the skin from ultraviolet rays. However, ZnO nanoparticles are easy to agglomerate, which will significantly affect the ultraviolet absorption and bacteriostatic properties, and the reactive oxygen species induced by the photocatalytic activity may result in irreversible secondary damage to the skin. Herein, the ZnO nanoparticles are dispersed uniformly on the surface of latex particles, and these composite particles are used as shell materials to construct self-assembled colloidosomes by high-gravity technology, which can improve the application properties with synergistic enrichment of the hollow structure.

To investigate the effect of Buzhong Yiqi Decoction on regulatory T cells(Treg) in experimental rats with autoimmune thyroiditis(EAT) through the transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β)/Smad signaling pathway. The evaluation of the effectiveness of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) has long been a "bottleneck" issue that restricts the healthy development and internationalization of TCM. This article systematically analyzes the differences in diagnostic and treatment principles, material composition, new drug development pathways, efficacy cognition, and evaluation methodology between Chinese and Western medicine from the underlying logic of medical perspective. On this basis, it integrates the evidence elements of clinical experience, experimental research, and clinical trials, and for the first time proposes and establishes a new strategy and methodology for the evaluation of the effectiveness of TCM: the integrated evidence chain-based effectiveness evaluation of traditional Chinese medicine(iEC-Eff), forming an integrated evaluation and confirmation model of "clinical experience-experimental research-clinical trial" for the effectiveness of TCM.

Evidence mapping was performed to review the clinical trials and systematic reviews about the treatment of hyperlipidemia with Chinese patent medicines in recent ten years.
