The midbrain dorsomedial periaqueductal grey column (dmPAG) is involved in the regulation of cardiovascular responses. Due to the presence of Gamma-Aminobutyric acid (GABA) receptors in the dmPAG, this study aimed to investigate the role of GABA receptors in the dmPAG on cardiovascular parameters and its possible peripheral mechanisms. The left femoral artery was cannulated, and systolic arterial pressure (SAP), mean arterial pressure (MAP) and heart rate (HR) were recorded using a Power lab system.

Materials And Methods: This longitudinal study focused on adults with SUD in addiction detention in two camps including Toska and Chitgar in the west and south of Tehran during 2021-2022.

Workplace stressors can negatively impact the well-being and nurse-patient empathy among nurses working in psychiatric wards. This controlled trial investigated the impact of mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) on workplace well-being and empathy levels among these nurses. In this study, 80 clinical nurses from the psychiatric wards of Ibn-e-Sina psychiatric hospital, affiliated with Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, Mashhad, Iran, completed a demographics form, the Eudaimonic Workplace Well-being Scale, and the Clinical Interpersonal Reactivity Index.

Introduction: Coronavirus-2019 (COVID-19) spreads rapidly worldwide and causes severe acute respiratory syndrome. The current study aims to evaluate the relationship between the whole-brain functional connections in a resting state and cognitive impairments in patients with COVID-19 compared to the healthy control group.
Methods: Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI) and Montreal cognitive assessment (MoCA) data were obtained from 29 patients of the acute stage of COVID-19 on the third day of admission and 20 healthy controls.

Purpose: Clinical diagnosis of dry eye disease is based on a subjective Ocular Surface Disease Index questionnaire or various objective tests, however, these diagnostic methods have several limitations.
Methods: We conducted a comprehensive review of articles discussing various applications of artificial intelligence (AI) models in the diagnosis of the dry eye disease by searching PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, and Google Scholar databases up to December 2022. We initially extracted 2838 articles, and after removing duplicates and applying inclusion and exclusion criteria based on title and abstract, we selected 47 eligible full-text articles.

However, these factors have not been collectively examined to determine whether smoking metacognitions independently and significantly contribute to these outcomes. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the impact of distress intolerance, anhedonia, impulsivity and smoking metacognitions on the urge to smoke, withdrawal symptoms and dependency in men who are dependent on smoking.
