Introduction: To explore the possibility of treatment with VNOTES sentinel lymph node dissection concept in patients with endometrial cancer.
Methods: Patients who underwent VNOTES sentinel lymph node biopsy with the Comba modification were compared to patients who underwent conventional laparoscopic sentinel lymph node biopsy performed by the same surgical team. A total of 38 patients who underwent sentinel lymph node biopsy + total laparoscopic hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy (BSO) were compared with 19 patients who underwent VNOTES retroperitoneal sentinel lymph node biopsy + hysterectomy and BSO.

Fabry disease (FD) is an X-linked, lysosomal glycosphingolipid storage disorder that occurs very rarely. Cardiac involvement may comprise of left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH), arrhythmias, conduction abnormalities, heart failure and valvular abnormalities. The goal of this study was to conduct gene analysis for FD in patients suffering from unexplained LVH.

Objectives: Cardiovascular diseases are also considered to increase the risk of death in COVID-19 patients. However, real-world data concerning the risk factors for death in patients with severe COVID-19 still remain vague. This study aimed to identify the potential risk factors associated with mortality in severe COVID-19 patients.

: Little is known about the upfront two-stent strategy (U2SS) for true coronary bifurcation lesions (CBLs) in acute coronary syndrome (ACS). We aimed to present our two-year follow-up results on the U2SS by using different two-stent techniques for the true CBL with a large side branch (SB) in ACS patients, including unstable angina (UA), non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI), and ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), and to identify independent predictors of the presence of major adverse cardiac events (MACEs) after intervention. : The study included 201 consecutive ACS patients with true CBLs who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) using U2SS from October 2015 to March 2018.

Background And Objectives: Epilepsy patients have a higher risk of sudden unexplained death compared to the rest of the population. Cardiac repolarization abnormalities might be seen in epilepsy during interictal periods. We aimed to evaluate the changes in electrocardiography (ECG) parameters in generalized tonic-clonic seizure patients treated with carbamazepine or valproic acid (VPA) drug.

Inadequate ablation lesion formation may be responsible for post-ablation ventricular tachycardia (VT) recurrences. We aimed to evaluate whether visualisation of radiofrequency (RF) lesion size by cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) has any role in predicting adequacy of lesion and in estimating outcome.Retrospective pilot studyNine consecutive patients (8 male, age 60 ± 13 years) underwent ablation for sustained VT because of ischemic scar were evaluated for pre- and post-procedure scar tissue by CMR to characterize ablation lesions.

Introduction: Glycoprotein Ibα (GPIbα) receptor is the chief molecule responsible for initial platelet adhesion to the subendothelium. A thymidine to cytosine single nucleotide substitution at position -5 from the ATG start codon characterizes the Kozak sequence polymorphism. The Kozak sequence polymorphism may increase the surface expression of GPIbα and contribute to thrombogenesis.

The anomalous origin of the coronary artery from the pulmonary artery (ALCAPA) is the most common congenital coronary artery anomaly. Up to 90% of patients die during the first year of life. It is unusual for an ALCAPA patient to survive to adulthood.

Objective: To investigate safety and efficacy of specialized hand-modified "Jacky-Like" catheter (JLC) as a single dual-purpose catheter in transradial coronary angiography.
Methods: Patients over 18 years undergoing diagnostic CAG through right radial artery (RRA) were prospectively enrolled. Procedures were performed with a single JLC modified from a left Judkins (JL) 3.

Transseptal puncture (TSP) may not be possible in cases of an elastic, aneurysmal, or thickened interatrial septum (IAS). During deep inspiration (DI), the chest wall expands and the diaphragm descends. This makes intrapleural pressure to become more negative, which leads to movement of the IAS to the right side.

Septal reduction therapy is the gold standard treatment method for symptomatic, hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy. Although surgical myectomy is a well-established and effective technique with decades of experience in its application, use of transcoronary alcohol septal ablation has increased precipitously owing to the less-invasive nature of the procedure. Moreover, endocardial septal ablation therapy is a relatively newly defined modality, and outcomes of the procedure are not clearly elucidated yet.

Septal reduction therapy is accepted as a first therapeutic option for symptomatic drug-resistant hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM). Although, surgical septal myectomy is the gold standard method, alcohol septal ablation is a well-studied alternative approach in the patients with suitable anatomy. Endocardial septal ablation (ESA) therapy was relatively new defined modality and outcomes of the procedure were not clearly elucidated yet.

Pulmonary vein isolation has been accepted as potential target for ablation of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (AF) given that the pulmonary veins are the main source of AF triggers. However, ablation strategies for persistent AF are less well defined. Mapping and ablation of complex fractionated atrial electrograms (CFAEs) is one strategy that has been proposed as a strategy for substrate modification although there is no consensus on their definition and procedural end points.

Introduction: The role of contrast-enhanced (ce) cardiac magnetic resonance in risk stratification of patients with depressed left ventricle (LV) function is widely studied. In this study, we investigated the myocardial infarct size and characteristics by ce-magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and its relationship with spontaneous ventricular arrhythmia occurrence during follow-up of in patients with mild LV systolic dysfunction and nonsustained ventricular tachycardia (VT).
Materials And Methods: This study enrolled 32 patients with postmyocardial infarction with an LV ejection fraction between 40% and 50% and nonsustained VT.

Background: The 2 predominant etiologies of right ventricular tachycardia (VT) are arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC) and idiopathic VT arising from the right ventricular outflow tract. Discrimination between these 2 entities is critical, as their prognoses and therapeutic options differ. The microvolt T-wave alternans (TWA) is widely used to predict lethal ventricular arrhythmias in various diseases.

Background: Cardio neuroablation (CNA) is a lesser-known technique for management of patients with excessive vagal activation on the basis of radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA) of the areas related to the three main autonomic ganglia around the heart. We investigated the effectiveness of selective and/or stepwise RFCA of these areas via right atrium (RA) and/or left atrium (LA) in the patients with recurrent syncope due to excessive vagal activity.
Methods: Twenty-two patients presenting symptomatic functional bradyarrhythmias, neurally mediated reflex syncope (NMS), symptomatic atrioventricular (AV) block, and symptomatic sinus node dysfunction (SND; number = 8, 7, 7, respectively) were enrolled.
