Poly-D,L-lactic acid (PDLLA) microspheres, marketed globally as Aesthefill (Regen Biotech, Seoul, South Korea), are recognized for their biocompatible and biostimulatory properties, positioning them as a preferred option in aesthetic medicine. This article presents consensus recommendations from Brazilian experts on the reconstitution and clinical application of PDLLA for facial and non-facial treatments. Developed using a modified Delphi method with contributions from leading dermatologists and plastic surgeons, the consensus outlines protocols for reconstitution, injection techniques, and patient management.

This study describes a novel standardized 4-step treatment algorithm for safe, reproducible, and effective liquid rhinoplasty procedures using a "deep columellar approach." Pleomorphic adenoma (PA) is the most common benign salivary gland neoplasm, and its malignant transformation rarely occurs. Diagnosis is based on clinical features of local or regional malignancy or distant metastasis, and histological identification of invasion and cellular atypia. Buccal fat pad, also called Bichat fat pad, is an excellent option to create tissue coverage over surgically treated areas, providing great blood supply.

The macroglossia is a rare condition, congenital or acquired, characterized by hypertrophy of the lingual muscles that can cause both aesthetic and functional changes such as mandibular prognathism and malocclusion. Diagnosis is through clinical examination. Treatment consists of excision of part of the tongue and different surgical techniques have been described in the literature.

The thyroglossal duct cyst is the neck congenital abnormality most common in the childhood. Clinically, it shows itself as a solitary neck mass in the region of hyoid bone, it is painless and can be dislocated during de physical examination and tongue protrusion. The most common treatment is its removal through the Sistrunk technique.

Bisphosphonates are widely used for treatment or prevention of bone diseases characterized by high osteoclastic activity. Among the oral medicines used to treat osteoporosis, alendronate has been often used.
