Pregnancy is an important period in which mother-infant attachment begins, includes bio-psychological changes, and has physical and psychological effects on the future life of the fetus. This study aims to evaluate the prenatal attachment levels of Syrian refugee and Turkish mothers in Turkey and to determine the variables that affect these. This cross-sectional study conducted in the obstetric outpatient clinics with 397 pregnant women 197 Syrian and 200 native women.

Evaluation of nutritional status in pediatric intensive care unit patients: the results of a multicenter, prospective study in Turkey.

Introduction: Malnutrition is defined as a pathological condition arising from deficient or imbalanced intake of nutritional elements. Factors such as increasing metabolic demands during the disease course in the hospitalized patients and inadequate calorie intake increase the risk of malnutrition. The aim of the present study is to evaluate nutritional status of patients admitted to pediatric intensive care units (PICU) in Turkey, examine the effect of nutrition on the treatment process and draw attention to the need for regulating nutritional support of patients while continuing existing therapies.

Background Postoperative acute kidney injury (AKI) is an important cause of mortality and morbidity among surgical patients. There is little information on the occurrence of AKI after operations for gynecologic malignancies. The medical records of LS-SCLC patients who underwent C-CRT and PCI between January 2010 and December 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. Background: Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders (NMOSD) are immune-mediated inflammatory disorders of the central nervous system (CNS) mostly presenting as optic neuritis and acute myelitis. How to Use Natriuretic Peptides in Patients with Heart Failure with Non-Reduced Ejection Fraction?

Natriuretic peptides are widely used in all types of heart failure. Previously, we defined heart failure with non-reduced ejection fraction as patients with heart failure symptoms and/or signs and who have left ventricular ejection fraction > 40%. For the diagnosis of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction, the presence of raised natriuretic peptides is one of the major components of the diagnosis, and raised natriuretic peptides make the diagnosis more likely in patients with heart failure with mildly reduced ejection fraction.
