Prenatal diagnosis of pulmonary arteriovenous malformations with a postnatal diagnosis of Osler-Weber-Rendu syndrome.

Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT), commonly known as Osler-Weber-Rendu disease, is an autosomal dominant multisystemic vascular disease associated with approximately 70% of cases of pulmonary arteriovenous malformations (PAVMs). Prenatal cases of PAVMs typically present with pulmonary vein dilatation on ultrasonography. This study presents a prenatal diagnosis of PAVMs with enlarged right pulmonary vein, cardiomegaly, cystic-appearing areas in the right lung and subsequent confirmation of Osler-Weber-Rendu syndrome using autopsy and whole exom sequencing.

: In this study, we aimed to investigate the prognostic value of the C-reactive protein to albumin ratio (CAR) for all-cause mortality in patients with chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF). : In total, 404 chronic HFrEF patients were included in this observational and retrospective study. The CAR value of each patient included in this analysis was calculated.

Optical coherence tomography-angiography findings of prediabetic patients.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate prediabetic patients for microvascular changes using optical coherence tomography-angiography (OCT-A) and compare with diabetic patients and healthy controls.

Methods: OCT-A images of 60 eyes of 30 patients with diabetes mellitus (DM), 72 eyes of 36 prediabetic patients, and 108 eyes of 54 healthy controls were retrospectively evaluated and compared in this study. A swept-source OCTA (Triton, Topcon) instrument was used for collecting OCT-A images.

Intraoperative Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy: A Case Report.

Introduction: This retrospective study aimed to investigate if pretreatment platelet (PLT) levels can predict the risk of osteoradionecrosis of the jaw (ORNJ) in patients with locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma (LA-NPC) who received concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT).

Material &methods: ORNJ instances were identified from LA-NPC patients' pre- and post-CCRT oral exam records. All pretreatment PLT values were acquired on the first day of CCRT.

Objective: This study aimed to compare the clinical outcomes and complications of obese patients who underwent extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) and flexible ureterorenoscopy (FURS) for treating 1-2 cm renal pelvic stones.

Methods: This study included 89 patients with a body mass index (BMI) >30 who underwent ESWL and FURS surgeries for 10-20 mm renal pelvic stones between January 2015 and July 2023. Three months after the treatments, patients underwent full abdominal computed tomography (CT) and were examined for stone-free status and the presence of residual stones.
