Objective: Nowadays, patients attempting social/elective egg freezing has spread globally. Ovarian stimulation (OS) with high daily gonatotropin doses, are commonly offered to this group of patients, aiming to achieve the maximal oocytes cohort with minimum IVF cycle attempts. We aim to assess the IVF-ET outcome, and specifically the oocyte yield, of patients undergoing two successive IVF cycle attempts for elective egg freezing (EEF), and whether changing the daily gonadotropin dose in the second IVF cycle attempt, affect the outcome.

This retrospective cohort study aimed to examine trends in pediatric (0-18 years old) hospitalizations due to dentoalveolar infection, before and after the inclusion of pediatric dental care in Israel's National Health Insurance Law. Data were collected from the medical records of one oral and maxillofacial surgery department. Data were compared between patients hospitalized during 2002-2010 (group A, n = 531) and 2011-2019 (group B, n = 381).

Background: Statin-induced myalgia is defined as muscle pain without elevation of serum creatine phosphokinase levels and is a well-known complaint among statin users. Chronic pain syndromes affect a high percentage of the population. These pain syndromes may confound the reports of statin-induced myalgia.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is taking a staggering toll on healthcare systems worldwide, with the bulk of the expenditures invested in the late stages of the disease. Considering the rising life expectancy and the increasing prevalence of PD across the globe, a clear understanding of the early signs and treatment options available for advanced PD (APD), will facilitate tailoring management programs and support services. This task is complicated by the lack of both global consensus in defining APD and standardized care guidelines.

Introduction: To evaluate the impact of asymptomatic meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD) on laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) outcomes and dry eye signs and symptoms.
Methods: A retrospective analysis of patients who underwent LASIK surgery between July 2017 and February 2018 at Care Vision Refractive Clinic, Tel Aviv, Israel, was done. Patients were divided into those who had preoperative asymptomatic significant MGD (MGD group) and those who did not have preoperative significant MGD (control group).

Background And Aims: Owing to its simplicity, effectiveness, and safety, EMR is the preferred treatment for the majority of large (≥20 mm) nonpedunculated colonic polyps (LNPCPs); however, residual and recurrent adenomas (RRAs) encountered during surveillance constitute a major limitation. Thermal ablation of the post-EMR mucosal defect margin has been shown to be highly efficacious in reducing RRA in a randomized trial setting, but data on effectiveness in clinical practice are scarce. We aimed to determine the effectiveness of this technique for reducing RRAs in routine clinical practice.

Maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients have impaired immunological responses to pathogens and vaccines. In this study, we compared the humoral response to HBV and COVID-19 vaccines in a cohort of MHD patients. Demographic and clinical characteristics of vaccine responders and non-responders were also compared, and the association between the humoral responses to both vaccines was evaluated.

Background: The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak has rapidly spread around the world, causing a global public health and economic crisis. A critical limitation in detecting COVID-19-related pneumonia is that it is often manifested as a "silent pneumonia", pulmonary auscultation that sounds "normal" using a standard stethoscope. Chest computed tomography is the gold standard for detecting COVID-19 pneumonia; however, radiation exposure, availability and cost preclude its utilisation as a screening tool for COVID-19 pneumonia.

Purpose: Sialoendoscopic, orthodontic, and surgical interventions within the floor of the mouth require precise knowledge of the topography of the Wharton's duct orifices which is still lacking for the pediatric population. We aimed to establish a normative database for the topography of these orifices in children.
Methods: The prospective cross-sectional analytic study was performed during January to December 2021.

Objectives: Thyroglobulin, produced exclusively by thyroid follicular cells, serves as a specific tumor marker for the follow-up of differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) patients after thyroidectomy. However, its role as a predictor of malignancy in patients with thyroid nodules is controversial. We assessed the potential role of preoperative serum thyroglobulin concentration to predict DTC in patients without a preoperative diagnosis of malignancy who underwent partial or total thyroidectomy.

Background: Idiopathic infantile hypercalcemia (IIH) etiologies include pathogenic variants in CYP24A1, leading to increased 1,25(OH) D, hypercalciuria and suppressed parathyroid hormone (PTH), and in SLC34A1 and SLC34A3, leading to the same metabolic profile via increased phosphaturia. IIH has not been previously described in CKD due to kidney hypodysplasia (KHD).
Methods: Retrospective study of children with bilateral KHD and simultaneously tested PTH and 1,25(OH)D, followed in a tertiary care center between 2015 and 2021.

Background: Ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC US) has been proven to be an accurate and efficient tool in thyroid nodule evaluation. Thyroid nodule aspiration can be acquired with either of two techniques: the short axis, in which only the tip of the needle is observed, and the long axis, in which the entire length of the needle is observed. Our retrospective study aimed to compare the adequacy of the two techniques.

Introduction: A larger number of proximal hip fractures occur outdoors rather than within a patient's home.
Background: At the beginning of 2020, Covid-19 was classified as a global pandemic. Elderly patients are at risk for both occurrences of osteoporotic proximal hip fractures and for increased morbidity and mortality due to infection with Covid-19.

Objectives: To assess the success rate and intraoperative complications of flexible ureterorenoscopy (f-URS) in patients with upper urinary tract (UUT) stones using a ureteral access sheath (UAS) without a safety guide wire (SGW).
Patients And Methods: Between April 2010 and March 2022, 464 renal units in patients with renal stones with and without concomitant ureteral stones (UUT), underwent ureterorenoscopy by one surgeon, and UAS was used in all of them. The primary endpoint was the stone-free rate (SFR).

Objective: An association between uveitis and multiple sclerosis (MS) is well-established, but the actual nature of that association remains poorly understood. We sought to determine the association between the presence of a uveitis diagnosis prior to an MS diagnosis compared to no pre-existing uveitis diagnosis in MS patients.
Methods: Patients in whom the presentation of uveitis preceded the presentation of MS (study group) and patients with MS and no uveitis (control group) were randomly selected at a ratio of 1:3 from the Sheba Multiple Sclerosis Center computerized database.
