Health economic appraisals often rely on the assessment of health utilities using preference-based measures (PBM). The cancer-specific PBM, European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Utility - Core 10 Dimensions (EORTC QLU-C10D), was developed recently, and now needs to be validated in various clinical populations. In a multicenter, multinational prospective cohort study, we longitudinally collected EORTC QLQ-C30 and EQ-5D-5L data from patients with thyroid cancer.

Background: Leadership is recognized as an essential competency in health care and science, being central for professionals to face health challenges. Few physicians feel prepared to serve as leaders in the health care environment, and few receive training in the leadership skills needed to be successful. Teaching leadership skills together with extensive, longitudinal, clinical education in an authentic and nurturing environment can effectively develop students for leadership in medicine.

Large language models (LLMs) are transforming the medical landscape by enhancing access to information, diagnostics, treatment customization, and medical education, especially in areas like Gastroenterology. LLMs utilize extensive medical data to improve decision-making, leading to better patient outcomes and personalized medicine. These models are instrumental in interpreting medical literature and synthesizing patient data, facilitating real-time knowledge for physicians and supporting educational pursuits in medicine.

Gastric cancer (GC) is one of the most common malignant tumors in the digestive system and due to its poor prognosis, there is an increase in the demand for more effective anticancer therapies. Interleukins are potential anticancer agents which can modulate expression of cancer related genes and have therapeutic effects. Interleukin 12 (IL-12) exhibits potent anti-tumor, anti-angiogenic and anti-metastatic activities and represents the ideal candidate for tumor immunotherapy, due to its ability to activate both innate and adaptive immunities.

Germ cell tumors (GCTs) constitute diverse neoplasms arising in the gonads or extragonadal locations. Testicular GCTs (TGCTs) are the predominant solid tumors in adolescents and young men. Despite cisplatin serving as the primary therapeutic intervention for TGCTs, 10‑20% of patients with advanced disease demonstrate resistance to cisplatin‑based chemotherapy, and epithelial‑mesenchymal transition (EMT) is a potential contributor to this resistance.

Cancer is a complex disease that can also affect the younger population; however, it is responsible for a relatively high mortality rate of children and youth, especially in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Besides that, lipidomic studies in this age range are scarce. Therefore, we analyzed blood serum samples from young patients (12 to 35 years) with bone sarcoma (osteosarcoma) and compared their lipidomics to the ones from the control group of samples, named healthy control (HC group), using NMR and LC-MS techniques.
