Background: Spine surgeons discourage the use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs following spine arthrodesis because of their inhibitory effect on bone-healing. To our knowledge, there are no data on the effects of the new cyclooxygenase-2 inhibitors on bone-healing.
