Background: Burnout in health care professionals (HCPs) results from exposure to psychosocial risks at work. Left unaddressed, burnout can lead to chronic health problems, increased staff turnover, reduced work hours, absenteeism, and early retirement from clinical practice, thus impacting patient care. The European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Resilience Task Force (RTF) was established in December 2019 to support the well-being of oncology HCPs globally.

Objective: Mirvetuximab soravtansine-gynx (MIRV) is a novel antibody-drug conjugate targeting folate receptor alpha (FRα), which is overexpressed in epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC), with limited expression on normal tissues. This integrated safety summary sought to characterize the safety profile of MIRV monotherapy in participants with FRα-expressing recurrent EOC.
Methods: Safety data were retrospectively analyzed from 4 clinical studies (phase 1 trial [NCT01609556], phase 3 FORWARD I [NCT02631876], phase 2 SORAYA [NCT04296890], phase 3 MIRASOL [NCT04209855]) that evaluated participants with FRα-expressing recurrent EOC who received ≥1 dose of MIRV 6 mg/kg adjusted ideal body weight every 3 weeks.

Objectives: We assessed the opinions of physicians caring for people with HIV (PWH) from the multicentre Spanish CoRIS cohort regarding the assessment of health-related quality of life (HRQoL).
Methods: We designed an online self-administered questionnaire comprising 27 structured questions across four domains: (i) sociodemographic and clinical data; (ii) usefulness of measuring HRQoL; (iii) information, training and resource needed; and (iv) whether and how HRQoL should be measured. Physicians completed the questionnaire between April and June 2023.

Self-reported occupational exposure was previously associated with COPD in the Spanish population. This study aimed to analyse the relationship between occupational exposure to various chemical and biological agents, COPD, emphysema, and the bronchial wall area, which was determined by lung computed tomography (CT) in 226 individuals with COPD and 300 individuals without COPD. Lifetime occupational exposures were assessed using the ALOHA(+) job exposure matrix, and CT and spirometry were also performed.

Background: Prematurity is associated with an increased risk of persistent wheezing but the underlying mechanisms are not well defined. The aim of this study was to identify blood transcriptional profiles associated with the development of wheezing in a cohort of moderate to late preterm infants and to define immune gene expression changes associated with wheezing.
Materials And Methods: A convenience sample of a multicenter birth cohort (SAREPREM) of moderate-late preterm children followed during the first 3 years of life was analyzed.

Background: In kidney transplantation, molecular diagnostics may be a valuable approach to improve the precision of the diagnosis. Using next-generation sequencing (NGS), we aimed to identify clinically relevant archetypes.
Methods: We conducted an Illumina bulk RNA sequencing on 770 kidney biopsies (540 kidney recipients) collected between 2006 and 2021 from 11 European centers.

Introduction: Diabetic Kidney Disease (DKD) is the main cause of end-stage renal disease in the developed world. The current treatment of the DKD with renin-angiotensin system (RAS) blockade does not totally halt the progression to end stage kidney disease. Currently, several drugs have shown to delay DKD progression such as sodium-glucose co-transporter-2 inhibitors (SGLT2i) and glucagon-like-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RA).

During the COVID-19 pandemic, people with multiple sclerosis (MS) and their healthcare providers have faced unique challenges related to the interaction between SARS-CoV-2, underlying neurological disease and the use of disease-modifying treatments (DMTs). Key concerns arose, primarily related to the possibility that SARS-CoV-2 infection could trigger the initial demyelinating event or exacerbate disease activity. Another major concern was the safety and efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccines, especially for patients undergoing specific treatments that could weaken their antibody responses.

Paediatric and adult bronchiectasis patients have been addressed in the literature as two different populations due to several differences, but there is insufficient evidence to understand how and when disease characteristics really change along patients' lifespan. This lack of knowledge is evident in all aspects of the transition: insufficient data is available about radiology, lung function, microbiology and treatment, and only limited information is currently available about changes in clinical presentation and psychosocial aspects. For instance, symptoms seem to improve during the third and fourth decades of life, a period sometimes referred to as the "honeymoon phase".

Objective: Democratise healthcare and research through a model that ensures the participation of patients and professionals.
Method: Weaknesses are analysed and corrections are articulated with a model through biweekly meetings between the hospital's citizen attention and healthcare management.
Results: The resulting model is proactive in nature, deployed between November-2021 and December-2023 and had three elements: Information, Co-creation and Strategy (ICE).

Background & Aims: Homozygous Pi∗Z mutation in alpha-1 antitrypsin (Pi∗ZZ genotype) predisposes to pulmonary loss-of-function and hepatic gain-of-function injury. To facilitate selection into clinical trials typically targeting only 1 organ, we systematically evaluated an international, multicenter, longitudinal, Pi∗ZZ cohort to uncover natural disease course and surrogates for future liver- and lung-related endpoints.
Methods: Cohort 1 recruited 737 Pi∗ZZ individuals from 25 different centers without known liver comorbidities who received a baseline clinical and laboratory assessment as well as liver stiffness measurement (LSM).

Bacterial infections (BI) are a major cause of mortality in patients with alcohol-associated hepatitis (AH); however, only a few studies have investigated BI in AH in the last decade. Therefore, we aimed to assess the features and outcomes of BI in patients with AH. This observational descriptive study included patients with AH admitted to a tertiary academic hospital between 2016 and 2021.

Objective: Pathological amyloid-β (Aβ) accumulation and hyperphosphorylated tau proteins have been described in resected temporal lobe specimens of epilepsy patients. We aimed to determine cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) Aβ1-42 and p181-tau levels and cerebral Aβ deposits on positron emission tomography (Aβ PET) and correlate these findings with cognitive performance in adults with drug-resistant temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE).
Methods: In this cross-sectional study, we enrolled individuals with drug-resistant TLE who were 25-55 years old.

Diffuse parenchymal lung diseases or children interstitial lung disease (chILD) in pediatrics are a heterogenous group of more than 200 rare diseases with an incidence and prevalence around 8.2 and 46.4 cases/million, respectively, higher than previously recognized, probably related to a greater understanding and increased clinical awareness of these diseases.
