  • The study investigates the effectiveness of percutaneous transforaminal endoscopic discectomy (PTED) combined with annulus fibrosus repair for treating single-segment lumbar disc herniation (LDH) in young to middle-aged patients.
  • A total of 96 patients were analyzed, split into an endoscopic group and a combined group; results showed differences in surgical times, recurrence rates, and intervertebral instability between the two methods.
  • Overall, the findings suggest that combining PTED with annulus fibrosus repair may lead to better outcomes in reducing recurrence and instability compared to PTED alone, with significant improvements in pain and disability scores post-surgery.
