Background: Cognitive postscripts of COVID-19, codenamed as 'cognitive COVID' or 'brain fog,' characterized by multidomain cognitive impairments, are now being reckoned as the most devastating sequelae of COVID-19. However, the impact on the already demented brain has not been studied.
Objective: We aimed to assess the cognitive functioning and neuroimaging following SARS-CoV-2 infection in patients with pre-existing dementia.

Background: Parinaud syndrome is a dorsal mid-brain syndrome characterized by upgaze paralysis, convergence retraction nystagmus, and pupillary light-near dissociation. Infarctions or hemorrhages involving the mid-brain are the most frequent causes in older adults.
Objective: To report a novel case of a patient who presented with classical parkinsonian signs and Parinaud syndrome.

Purpose Of Review: To describe the clinical manifestations of Hashimoto's encephalopathy (HE) and discuss its pathogenesis in light of recent research.
Recent Findings: The pathogenesis of HE is uncertain. Available evidences point towards an autoimmune etiology due to vasculitis or other inflammatory process.

Background: Mucormycosis is a rare but serious fungal infection which has dramatically increased in post-COVID patients. There is a paucity of safety data on amphotericin B (amphoB) used for mucormycosis treatment.
Objectives: The objective of this prospective, observational, active safety surveillance study was to evaluate the safety profile of amphoB in a cohort of hospitalized patients who were on the drug for suspected mucormycosis.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder associated with the death of mid-brain dopaminergic neurons. Unfortunately, no effective cure or diagnostic biomarkers for PD are available yet. To address this, the present study focuses on brain-enriched small non-coding regulatory RNAs called microRNAs (miRNAs) that are released into the circulation packaged inside small extracellular vesicles called exosomes.

Unlabelled: Due to the disruption of normal flow of treatment during the restrictions related to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, the health status of persons with dementia (PwD) and their caregivers' burden might worsen.
Objective: The article aims to find out the health status of PwD and caregivers' burden during the peak of second wave of COVID-19 and make a comparison with the preceding trough phase.
Methods: The study was conducted with 53 PwD and their caregivers in two phases.

Background: Coronavirus disease 2019 (CoVID-19), primarily thought of as a respiratory system disease is actually a multi-system disease with immunological implications. CNS involvement in COVID has been explained in recent literature mainly for stroke, encephalopathy, encephalitis, acute disseminated encephalomyelitis and myelopathy. There are few studies characterizing clinical spectrum of COVID autoimmune encephalitis.

Introduction: Moyamoya angiopathy (MMA) has been known to manifest with myriad of neurological manifestations, often in association with various precipitating factors. This is the first study to systematically analyze the precipitating triggers to neurological symptoms done on the largest cohort of MMA in India.
Methods: A single-centered, cross-sectional observational study, recruiting 160 patients with consecutive angiographically proven MMA over a period of 5 years (2016-2021), was undertaken to evaluate the profile of immediate precipitating factors in temporal association to the neurological symptoms, along with their clinical and radiological characteristics.

Background: Cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT) following either human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection or hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is a very rare condition. Moreover, it has never been reported as the presenting manifestation of HIV and HBV co-infection, even more so when the patient had a normal CD4 count and no demonstrable opportunistic infections. We aimed to report the first case of an adult Indian male, an intravenous drug abuser who developed CVT as the presenting manifestation of HIV-HBV co-infection.

Background: Snakebite is a preventable yet often-neglected public health hazard with high chronic disability and mortality, mainly faced by rural communities in the tropics/subtropics. Endocrinological disorders following snakebite (especially Russell's viper in India) are notably underrecognized and can lead to remarkable morbidity, poor quality of life, and cardiovascular mortality. Anterior pituitary insufficiency has been the most common ailment following Russell's viper envenomation amid those endocrinological dysfunctions.

Bickerstaff brainstem encephalitis (BBE) is a rare neurological disorder characterised by the presence of the triad of ophthalmoplegia, ataxia and altered consciousness. It is thought to be associated to an autoimmune condition triggered by an antecedent infection. Scrub typhus is a zoonotic disease caused by Orientia tsutsugamushi, and it is associated with myriads of neurological complications.

Objectives: Moyamoya Angiopathy (MMA) is a chronic, progressive intracranial vasculopathy. Unlike Sickle-cell-disease, thalassemia-syndrome has rarely been described in association with MMA. This study was aimed to analyze the demographic, clinical, radiological features and long-term outcome (and possible factors influencing prognosis) of Moyamoya Syndrome (MMS) in the largest cohort of thalassemia-related-to-MMS.

Systemic lupus erythematosus is a chronic autoimmune connective tissue disorder that can affect all the neuroaxes in the central and peripheral nervous systems. Myelopathy in systemic lupus erythematosus is one of the least common neuropsychiatric syndromes accounting for 1%-2% of cases. Myelopathy has long been diagnosed based on clinical findings, laboratory tests, and gold-standard gadolinium-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Neurodegenerative dementias such as the behavioral variant of frontotemporal dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and Parkinson's disease dementia are linked to various behavioral and psychological abnormalities. Whether these abnormalities precede, coincide or follow the onset of cognitive symptoms is still controversial in existing literature, with trajectories available so far dependent on types of dementia. The authors aim to review the different kinds of premorbid behavioral symptoms/personality traits associated with an increased risk of developing specific types of neurodegenerative dementia.

Background: While pragmatic deficits are well documented in patients with schizophrenia (SCZ) and right hemisphere damage (RHD), there is a paucity of research comparing the pragmatic deficits of these two groups. Do they experience similar cognitive dysfunction or is there a dissociation between the two patient groups?
Aims: To investigate the nature of pragmatic deficits in these two groups and to gain an understanding of the underlying cognitive mechanisms that might be associated with these deficits to further future investigations.
Methods & Procedures: A total of 60 participants (15 patients with SCZ; 15 with RHD; 30 (15 + 15) healthy controls (HC) were administered the Bengali Audio-Visual Test-Battery for Assessment of Pragmatic Skills.
