Development and Implementation of a Clinical Nursing Practice Guideline for Prevention and Management of Increased Intracranial Pressure in Hemorrhagic Stroke Patients.

Background: Hemorrhagic stroke is a serious condition that leads to high morbidity and mortality rates, particularly within the first 30 days following the stroke. One serious complication is increased intracranial pressure (IICP), which worsens neurological symptoms and can result in death or disability.

Purposes: To develop and implement a clinical nursing practice guideline (CNPG) for prevention and management of IICP in hemorrhagic stroke patients.

Effect of Menaquinone-7 Supplementation on Arterial Stiffness in Chronic Hemodialysis Patients: A Multicenter Randomized Controlled Trial.

Background: There is a very high prevalence of subclinical vitamin K deficiency in patients requiring hemodialysis (HD), and this problem is associated with vascular calcification and arterial stiffness. Vitamin K2 (MK-7) supplementation can improve vitamin K status in HD patients. However, the benefits of vitamin K supplementation on arterial stiffness have still not been established.

Familial neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders: Case series and systematic review.

Background: Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders (NMOSD) is considered a complex multifactorial disorder. Most cases are sporadic, and familial NMOSD is assumed as a rare occurrence. However, few studies reported familial aggregation of the disorder.

Our article Newly diagnosed neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders following vaccination: Case report and systematic review had instigated a critique that there were more cases of post-COVID-19-vaccination NMOSD. Indeed, after the systematic review was performed in July 2021, many reports have been published, and we have seen two new patients at our center as well. However, Finsterer's question on the subclinical activity of NMOSD prior to vaccination, although an interesting notion, was debatable.

Previous studies on abobotulinumtoxinA (ABO) (Dysport®; Ipsen Biopharm Ltd.) have demonstrated clinical efficacy in face-lifting when compared to normal saline solution (NSS).

Conjunctival tumor caused by Epstein-Barr virus-related infectious mononucleosis: Case report and review of literature.

The conjunctival tumor associated with Epstein-Barr virus related infectious mononucleosis is a rare ocular manifestation. Only a few cases have been reported in the literature. We reported this rare condition that presented in a 5-year-old boy.

The comparison between intradermal injection of abobotulinumtoxinA and normal saline for face-lifting: a split-face randomized controlled trial.

Background: Botulinum toxin type A (BTA) has been approved for the treatment of strabismus, blepharospasm, muscle spasm, cervical dystonia, pain syndrome, glabella wrinkles, and severe primary axillary hyperhidrosis. Intradermal injection of BTA has been used off-label by many clinicians for the purpose of face-lifting effect. Few studies on onabotulinumtoxinA (ONA) demonstrated no clinical efficacy on face-lifting effect when comparing to normal saline solution (NSS).

Immune response to hepatitis B vaccine in premature neonates.

The immunogenecity of a recombinant yeast-derived hepatitis B vaccine in 25 premature infants who were born to HBsAg negative mothers was studied. The gestational ages were 28-37 weeks and birth weights were 1300-2000 grams. Seroconversion occurred in 22 infants, the anti HBs titers varied between 50 and 13,470 IU/L (Geometric mean titer = 542 IU/L).
