Given that both hyperhomocysteinemia and cardiac hypertrophy have an association with CKD, we hypothesized that high level of plasma homocysteine (Hcy) is associated with a higher prevalence of ventricular hypertrophy(LVH) in adults with CKD.

The correlation between clinical outcomes and preoperative/postoperative measures of the lateral center-edge angle (LCEA) will help establish the cutoff values for this measurement and determine whether to obtain it from the lateral acetabular rim (LCEAR) or the lateral end of the sourcil (LCEAS). The hypothesis was that the LCEAS would be more sensitive than the LCEAR. An upper cutoff value of LCEA could predict better functional outcomes in FAI patients.

This study employs Mendelian randomization (MR) approach to investigate the potential causal association between genetic variants associated with gut microbiota, inflammatory factors, and the risk of uterine fibroids development. We extracted data on 211 types of gut microbiota, 91 inflammatory factors, and uterine fibroids occurrence from genome-wide association studies and applied the inverse-variance weighted (IVW) method for analysis. To further assess the robustness of our MR analysis, we conducted sensitivity tests including Cochrane's Q test, the MR-Egger intercept test, the MR-PRESSO global test, and a leave-one-out analysis.

The aim was to study the independent risk factors of internal fixation failure in proximal femoral anti-rotation intramedullary nailing for intertrochanteric femur fracture, and to build a nomogram prediction model accordingly. Clinical data of patients with intertrochanteric femoral rotor fractures admitted to the First People's Hospital of Longquanyi District from January 2018 to January 2023 were retrospectively collected. The occurrence of spiral blade cut out, internal fixation breakage, peri-internal fixation fracture, hip internal rotation deformity, and fracture nonunion within 1 year after surgery were included in the internal fixation failure group, and the rest were included in the internal fixation success group.

Acute rejection (AR) is a common complication in the early stage after kidney transplantation. Some studies have shown that the occurrence of AR after kidney transplantation may further affect the development of tumors, and both AR and tumor development are related to immune cells and immune genes, so it is particularly important to diagnose the occurrence of AR at an early stage and to analyze the correlation between AR and tumors. In this study, we applied bioinformatics techniques for differential expression analysis and weighted gene co-expression network analysis analysis of AR patients to obtain differentially expressed genes and modular genes significantly associated with AR, respectively, so as to obtain their intersecting genes with immune-related genes; 21 intersecting genes were screened by lasso regression and Boruta algorithm to obtain the genes, and finally, the feature genes that were significantly associated with the dependent variable were further obtained by single-factor and multi-factor logistic regression.
