The aim of this study was to assess interleukin-1β (IL-1β), IL-1Ra, IL-36, and IL-38 levels together with hs-CRP levels in patients with different radiographic grades of knee osteoarthritis (OA) in comparison to healthy individuals. Consecutive patients aged over 50 years who were admitted to our Orthopaedics and Traumatology department between November 2018 and March 2019 and diagnosed as knee OA according to the American College of Rheumatology criteria were included in this prospective case-control study. Patients with knee OA were staged according to radiographic Kellgren-Lawrence (K-L) classification and 20 patients were assigned to each group.

Objective: This study aimed to determine the reliability levels of the radiographic union scale for tibial fractures (RUST) and the modified version of the system, mRUST, for femoral shaft fractures in pediatric and adult patients and to evaluate the value of the scores for total and each cortex in the decision making on fracture union.
Methods: A total of 15 orthopedic surgeons scored the radiographs of 24 pediatric and 24 adult patients with femoral shaft fractures that were obtained at 0, 4, 8, 12, and 16 postoperative weeks treated with elastic stable intramedullary nail in pediatric patients and locked intramedullary nail in adult patients using the RUST and mRUST scores. Intra-class correlation coefficient (ICC) was used in the evaluation of reliability of the RUST and mRUST scores.

Background: This study aimed to investigate the possible consequences of soft tissue interposition of Endobutton on clinical outcomes and reoperation rates after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.
Methods: We measured the distance between the centre of the Endobutton and the lateral femoral cortex on the postoperative first day anteroposterior X-rays of the 156 knees that underwent anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. Those with a distance less than 1 mm were regarded as Group 1 (118 patients), the ones between 1 mm and 2 mm were regarded as Group 2 (30 patients) and the ones more than 2 mm were regarded as Group 3 (8 patients).

Background: The study aimed to evaluate the agreement between the radiographic union scale (RUST) and modified RUST (mRUST) in humeral shaft fractures treated with different techniques, and the effect of surgeons' experience and thresholds for determining bone union.
Materials And Methods: A total of 20 orthopedic surgeons reviewed and scored radiographs of 30 patients with humeral shaft fractures treated by external fixation, intramedullary nailing, and plating using the RUST and mRUST on the 0 day, 6 weeks, 12 weeks and 24 weeks follow-up radiographs. Bone healing, interrater agreement between RUST and mRUST scores, and the threshold for radiographic union were evaluated.

Objective: It can be assumed that the progression of scoliosis in the juvenile period will increase the asymmetry in the rib cage, and thus will contribute to an increase in the breast asymmetry (BA) in the future. We are looking for answers to the questions; "How will the breasts look with respect to each other and what is the possibility of developing BA in the early follow-up period following the early surgical treatment and final fusion surgery of juvenile idiopathic scoliosis (JIS)?" For this reason, in this study, we aimed to evaluate the breast asymmetries of patients in the period after the final fusion.
Methods: Following growing rod treatment, final fusion was achieved in 12 females with JIS.

Introduction: No significant regression has been reported in revision total hip arthroplasty (THA) rates despite substantial progress in implant technologies and surgical techniques. It is critical to investigate how patient demographics, THA indications, surgical techniques, types of implants, and other factors influence the frequency of early and late revision surgery. The main purpose of the present study was to evaluate the clinical characteristics and 10-year survival rates of revision hip arthroplasties among revision time groups.

Dissatisfaction is still an important problem in a small but important group of patients who undergo total knee arthroplasty. This study was designed to evaluate the effectiveness of showing patients the change in their standing posture, before and after total knee replacement, using standing photographs (anterior, posterior, and lateral view), on improving self-reported quality of life and satisfaction. Full-length lower extremity radiographs and standing photographs were obtained prior to total knee replacement and 6 months after surgery in the study group.
