Aim: The purpose of this study is to improve the precision of radiation treatment and sparing of organ-at-risk (OAR) in patients with thoracic esophageal cancer (EC) affecting the heart, lung, and spinal cord. To improve and personalize cancer treatment plans, it assesses the dosimetric benefits of coplanar RapidArc (RA), hybrid arc (RA), and noncoplanar RapidArc (RA).
Materials And Methods: Fourteen patients with EC were chosen for our investigation from our hospital's database.

Background: The importance of surrogate endpoints, magnitude of clinical benefit of cancer drugs, and their prices have often been debated in the oncology world. No study, however, has systemically explored oncologists' perception regarding these issues.
Methods: We conducted a mixed-methods study including in-depth qualitative interviews of medical oncologists prescribing cancer drug therapy in India.

Background: This study aimed to evaluate the dosimetric and radiobiological differences between 6MV flattened filter (FF) and flattening filter free (FFF) using volumetric modulated arc (VMAT) technique for head and neck (H&N) cancer patients.
Materials And Methods: Fifteen patients with H&N carcinoma were selected and treated with VMAT with FF (VMAT) treatment plan. Retrospectively, additional VMAT treatment plans were developed using FFF beams (VMAT).

Background: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) not associated with known risk factors, called CKD of unknown etiology (CKDu), has been reported from several geographically distinct regions across the world. This study reports the clinical and epidemiological profile of patients with CKDu from a new hotspot in central India.
Materials And Methods: This cross-sectional study describes the sociodemographic, clinical, and laboratory profile of the patients diagnosed with CKDu visiting a tertiary care public hospital in the state of Chhattisgarh in central India between June 2019 and June 2021.

Purpose: Accurate understanding of the genomic and transcriptomic data provided by next-generation sequencing (NGS) is essential for the effective utilization of precision oncology. Molecular tumor boards (MTBs) aim to translate the complex data in NGS reports into effective clinical interventions. Often, MTB treatment recommendations differ from those in the NGS reports.

Background: Cardiac liver cirrhosis secondary to Fontan procedure has been associated with hepatocellular carcinoma at a younger age. However, Fontan associated liver disease and combined hepatocellular-cholangiocarcinoma has not been previously reported. Combined hepatocellular-cholangiocarcinoma is a rare cancer that accounts for 2-5% of primary liver tumors and poses significant diagnostic and treatment challenges.

The rising cost of cancer care has shed light on an important aspect of healthcare delivery. Financial toxicity of therapy must be considered in clinical practice and policy-making. One way to mitigate the impact of financial toxicity of cancer care is by focusing on an approach of healthcare delivery that aims to deliver value to the patient.

Purpose: To classify the available plan evaluation indices and compare the dosimetric suitability of these indices.
Materials And Methods: Available published plan evaluation indices were categorized. Conformity index (CI) into two groups, one group contains those CI formulas which do not consider critical structure and other group contains those CI formulas which consider planning target volume (PTV) coverage, normal tissue and critical structure sparing simultaneously.

Aim: A systemic review and analysis of evolution journey of indices, such as conformity index (CI), homogeneity index (HI) and gradient index (GI), described in the literature.
Background: Modern radiotherapy techniques like VMAT, SRS and SBRT produce highly conformal plans and provide better critical structure and normal tissue sparing. These treatment techniques can generate a number of competitive plans for the same patients with different dose distributions.

Background: Growing teratoma syndrome is a rare phenomenon seen in nonseminomatous germ cell tumors after chemotherapy, where the tumor grows paradoxically despite normalization of tumor markers. It has been found in various locations, most commonly, the retroperitoneum in association with metastatic disease. The occurrence of growing teratoma syndrome in a mediastinal primary is very rare and there are only a few reports in the literature.
