Obturation of Simulated Internal Resorption Cavities With Four Different Techniques and a Hydraulic Root Canal Sealer: A Comparative Stereomicroscopic Evaluation.

Aim To compare the quality of obturation using WVC (warm vertical compaction), CLC (cold lateral compaction), injectable (iFill), and Thermafil (GuttaCore) techniques, along with hydraulic condensation of bioceramic (BC) sealer, and evaluating the percentage of gutta-percha (GP), sealer, and voids in simulated internal resorptive lesions, using an advanced stereomicroscope with ImageJ software (National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD, USA). Methods and material In this study, 40 freshly extracted maxillary incisors were collected, and endodontic instrumentation was done to working length using hand K-files. Simulated internal resorption cavities were created in the middle-apical third of the roots after horizontal sectioning and were re-cemented.

Anatomical Insights: Two Case Reports on Protostylid Variants and Literature Synthesis.

Protostylids are an anatomical variant of the paramolar tubercle, which refers to the presence of an additional cusp in the buccal surfaces of maxillary and mandibular bicuspids and molars. This structure, first reported by Dahlberg in 1950, is found in low frequencies and plays a significant role in dental anthropology. This anatomical variant, if present poses a threat to dental caries and periodontal diseases and hence requires early diagnosis and preventive dental care.

Aim: To evaluate the effectiveness of cartoon animated video, caregiver-supervised training, and pamphlet-based oral health education on plaque control, oral hygiene status, and oral health knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) among orphaned adolescents with plaque-induced gingivitis.

Methods: A total of ninety adolescents were randomly selected and allocated into three different groups. Group A received the pamphlet (n = 30), Group B received the cartoon animated video (n = 30), and Group C received the caregiver-supervised training (n = 30).

Parental Experiences on Learning About and Caring for Children with Cleft Lip and Palate: A Qualitative Study from South India.

Objectives: The study aimed to understand parents' reactions to cleft, the manner in which they learned about its presence, and the challenges they faced in caring for their child with a view to providing healthcare professionals insights toward enhancing care delivery.

Design: Qualitative in-depth interviews using the grounded theory approach were carried out with 11 mothers and fathers of children with cleft lip and palate (CLP) attending a cleft speciality hospital in Chennai city, in South India.

Results: Analysis resulted in the discovery of 5 core categories, learning about CLP-when and how, reactions and attributions to CLP, learning about and expectations from treatment, caring for a child with CLP and support systems.

Objectives: The case report highlights the management of late-stage sequelae of preeruptive intracoronal resorption (PEIR) with molar incisor hypomineralization (MIH).

Materials And Methods: A 9-year-old patient presented with occlusal cavitations in her upper and lower permanent molars with vascularized tissue seen within the dentin, without any connections with the dental pulp, and no evidence of carious activity within the lesion. The affected teeth were debrided, and Biodentine™ was placed to preserve the vital pulp.
